This person obviously didn't do their research, unless this was a first party console ip or in collaboration with a company like Microsoft, Sony, etc it would show a logo, besides it was already confirmed multiplatform, why would they include a logo and spoil the suprise?

Its all about perception for MS. They want people to believe they have won the console war and losing one of their top franchise will not reinforce this idea.

mass effect is probably the only 360 game i want on ps3. EA has nothing to lose in making it multi-platform so I'm pretty confident that I will get to play the trilogy some day.

To be honest I think that Final Fantasy XIII should say exclusive to PS3 and Mass Effect should be a 360 exclusive (I know I'm going to get a lot of disagrees with this one)

Now don't get me wrong here, I have a 360 & PS3 and enjoy them both quite a bit. I feel that some games should just stay exclusive to a particular system.

I mean how the hell can a publisher ignore a 21 million install base which will much larger when the game releases.

EA needs money and ignoring an install base the size of the PS3 is not good business unless Microsoft plans to pay them for potential sales on the PS3. The PS3 install base is at 21M now, the game isn't going to come out until next year, it's easy to suggest it will be near or over the 30M mark. I highly doubt EA is gonna turn down that big of an install base just to keep some fanboys happy, they're worried more about their bottom line.

Face it, third party exclusives are dieing and will die at an even quicker rate with the failing economy.

It's up to Microsoft,if they pay for it then it'll be an exclusive.

Bioshock thought it was timed exclusive and advertised by Microsoft... it was published by 2K Games.

Unreal Tournament 3 though thought to be exclusive on the PS3 was published by Midway Games.

Virtual Fighter 5 published by Sega.

It's not that hard once you educate yourself and research what it means when a company publish a game... hence owns the publishing rights...

Now... I am not saying that this is 100% since EA and Microsoft can make a deal for them to surrender the publishing rights or an amount that I'm sure Microsoft can benefit from. But I do not think is likely. Unlike the popular opinion on this site... Microsoft does not usually lose money on the deals they make and I doubt they didn't cover their ends when they seek publishing rights for this game.

You don't mean the amazing flight arcade game that I've played since the first one that sucked so hard an got downgraded in so many ways once brought out exclusively to the 360 do you? Believe me you don't wanna go there I've played Ace Combat from the first to the 5th an once I saw 6 exclusive to the 360 I was like dang that sux but it was a wait an see. After going to a friends house who got ace combat 6 with the flight stick which I told him not to because I had a feeling it wasn't gonna be the amazing experience I was use to. An sure nuff less planes, the graphics weren't pushing anything revolutionary like they did on the ps2. An on top of all that the controls felt off needless to say I didn't care after that.

I'm not too sure about this one. This is no evidence to suggest a PS3 release-if anything they're prolly just leaving the logos off to keep people stupdidly hyping their game for nothing. Think of the irony if that were the case with hundreds of PS fans doing MS's marketing for them by keeping the ME2 hype train running.

The fact that neither BW or EA have said anything points to either them being in talks with MS or there's nothing new to say, imo. I don't see where this is like Bioshock either as this would be the middle of a trilogy as opposed to the start and with MS rights over the first Mass Effect I can't see that readily going PS3.

There's loads of uncertainty about this game , yes, but not enough evidence to espouse there PS3 for ME2 theory right now. We do know it will be on PC and 360 though and until further notice can we stop with the pointless chirruping?

I work for Gamestop and just today we began taking reserves on Mass Effect 2 for the PC and the XB360.......NO PS3....Not sure what that means but it tells me that PS3 owners who do not have 360 will have to wait a while for it to come.

Go to GameSpot and type in Mass Effect 2 in the search box and see what comes up! All I have to say if you only own a PS3 then don't hold your breath!

Just because there's no logo doesn't mean it's going to PS3, I remember the first ever Gears teaser not having a system logo after it. Another reason it's not going to PS3 is the fact you can use your ME1 saves to continue your character, which would be useless on the PS3. Also note there's no date in the teaser, in your logic does that mean it will never be released?

After the film industry writes losses from year to year and the game industry makes more money from year to year MS as a software giant knows where they put their money in- for the next XX years.

I don't think any 3rd party game should be exclusive to any system. You stand to make more money on multi-platform. Just seems a wait to not use an install base that is over 20 million. I don't care one way or the other. Just seems like wasted potential not to go multi-plat.

I actually think ME2 will be a timed 360 exclusive with a PS3 release a couple of months later. I also think the 360 version will get exclusive content that should have been included in the retail version that people will have to pay for. Oh yeah that is called DLC. Big content is ok, ex: GTAIV LAD and map packs released a year later that were obviously developed after the game was finished are also ok but this stupid oh well if you want this new costume or exclusive weapon you have to pay $3 just kills me.

I really think they should port the first ME to the PS3 before they release the second one. The story is way too complex to grasp without playing the game. I feel like it would be super frustrating to start on ME2 without having played the first.

Plus you don't have a saved character... I wonder what the canon decisions of Mass Effect 1 are. You made a few decisions that drastically affected the story, and I'm guessing they at some point decided which were the "correct" choices canonically. It will be interesting to see...

I Think the reality is they're holding out on announcing a platform, (but it probably is in development for PS3 atm) because they're still trying to make a deal with Microsoft for exclusivity on 360; which probably won't happen considering how much money it would involve. And I think MS believes they got enough market share, and price advantage will be enough for them this gen.

I just recently got this game for $20 and Prince of Persia for my PS3 for $40... both really good buys for cheap!

This'll be a 360 only purchase for me, and for the obvious reasons stated above!
