So, err, didn't bother mentioning that it's concept art? Kind of an important detail.

Cool art, but I really hope the game has more variety this time around. The writing was great in the last game and the story was very interesting, the combat was pretty fun and the graphics were good (despite the long load times and the texture pop-in). But the two dozen or so planets available were mostly very cookie-cutter with no personality or originality between them. All of the base interiors and cave interiors were literally identical to one another except on the 3 main story planets. I started to get really sick of side-questing because the planets were all so generic, boring, lifeless, and culture-less. The main story was very good, but it needs to have a bit better pacing and it needs to have more interesting side-quests or a longer main quest (I finished the original 100% in about 35 hours, but the main quest only took about 12!) All in all, I'm pretty darn excited for Mass Effect 2, but they've got some improvements they should make.

Well the announcement of a Mass Effect trilogy was during the time that a 2nd party deal between Microsoft and bioware.

The EA-bioware deal however changed evrything.

Microsoft only published the first Mass Effect but have not made a deal to publish the other two.The IP now belongs to EA not bioware or Microsoft.If Microsoft wants it exclusively they would have to pay EA.However EA recently reported a profit loss and needs to recuperate those costs and EA Has never attempted exclusivity since the beginning of their founding except to the Wii.Not to mention that if MS wanted to keep on it on PC or 360,they would need to pay a large amount to a wealthy publisher like EA which sounds crazy.

If MS wants to keep ME2 on their system,they would have to pay 100 million dollars to EA.

Now the question left is "What about Mass Effect 3?"

Is Microsoft willing to pay the 2nd biggest publisher for an exclusive? We'll see

I'm currently playing through Mass Effect and I can't get enough of it! Knowing theres a sequel to look forward that is looking impressive from the first screens fills me with glee!:D

It might come to the PS3 or it might not. It all depends on whether Microsoft has worked out a deal with EA or not.

Great game though, and it would be great if more people could get to experience it.

Mass Effect is my favorite game on the 360, so it goes without saying that I am excited for the sequel.

I just hope they improve the technical performance aspects of the game because the first one had quite a few problems like texture pop-in, screen tearing and framerate slowdown.

I'm not a complete graphics whore or anything, but when it gets that bad it does start to have an impact on my enjoyment of the game.

Pick up the Platinum Edition of Mass Effect if you own a 360! It is an incredible game and now priced at $19.99. It also comes with a second disc that has a nice section on the sequel and they give a lot of details and they also emphasize that moving your character from the first game is what it's all about.

To be honest, this and Fable are the only 360 games my PS3 pines for. I just hopes EA goes for the money and makes this baby multiplat.

Very pretty but the 360 only just had enough power to run the first one and that was jerky at times, this could turn out unplayable if there not careful
