This and Alan Wake news in one day.. think im gonna explode. I thought the first Mass Effect was great. One of my favorite games this gen, really looking forward to this.

This game is gonna be so awesome, my pc will easily run this, but i prefer to play it on my 360.

Mass Effect was easily one of the best games in the last few years for myself. Can't wait until ME2 comes out.

He didn't die. Your data carries over from the last game. I'd say his death was staged so he could operate better as a spectre. It mentions Kai and Ashley so I'm sure it checks to see which you let die in ME1 so it knows which character to be alive in ME2. Wrex is alive no matter what

Finally, I've been waiting for this game. I never really liked rpgs until I played Mass Effect I can't wait for the release.

Ah, I'm so excited! Hopefully Dragon Age: Origins keeps me satisfied until then. I can't wait to continue the assault with my Bruce Willis lookalike character. ;)

On a side note, what's the point of this going to the PS3? From a gamer's point of view, it'd be stupid. The story is rather complicated as it is and PS3 gamers are going to be even more confused jumping straight into the sequel without having played the first one.

They should keep Mass Effect exclusive to the 360 and PC, just like MGS4 should stay solely on the PS3.

I highly doubt the main guy is dead. Think of the first Starship Troopers movie when they announced in public that Rico was KIA & he wasn't

Halo Wars is an excellent game. The droids have only the Gamespot's review on their side...but they don't say that Gamespot havent't reviewed Killzone 2, so If I were them I would wait.

There is still the hope for two great news:

1) KZ2 reviewed badly by Gamespot.
2) Halo Wars that outsells KZ2 in March NPD.

The second option is quite a lock.

Mass Effect is easily one of the best games on the 360 and I can't wait for the sequel. I only hope it runs better this time. The first one was plagued with screen tearing, texture pop-in and slow down. I hope they get that sorted out for the sequel.

I think there are about equal chances of this game remaining exclusive to the 360 and PC as it does to going to the PS3 as well. Who knows? All I know is that it is a good game and the more people that get to play it the better.

if this was a PS3 exclusive title the entire gaming media and 360 fanbase would dogg it to kingdom come, CRAZY. Anyways, this is the one true game I've salivated to get my hands on from the 360 library. From the initial intro of the game with ME1 it looked like a PS game when it was announced.

I was going to have a go on a friend's 360 but when I read EA had bought Bioware I held off knowing it'd be coming on the PS3 soon enough. The game looks like they've increase the graphical detail, nice.

Never have I felt so happy to see an EA logo on a game =D

was that it mass effect wasent that great waiting for it for 3 years to much framerate issues not enough planets all look like the bad so dont think mass effect 2 will be good unless it comes out for ps3 ill just wait for Elder Scrolls v

I can't wait to play the game. I don't tend to like Bioware RPG's or Western RPG's in general however I loved Mass Effect and I was shocked at how in depth it's universe was I was quite impressed.

Seeing as this is a EA game I would assume it will at least come to PS3 360 and PC and the only way that would not be the case is if MS gives EA a massive check because the first game was so good they would have to be given enough incentive as the game would most likely make more money going multi plat then it would solely on 360 and PC.

If you let the web page sit idle for a while you can start moving it around with your mouse (in a 3-d'ish plane).

= best western RPG of this generation, period. Hopefully they can clean up some of the technical problems though from the first one like bad frame rate hiccups and texture loading.

Such a huge universe that Bioware can continue to explore and reveal. Publishers making RPG's should definately look more into using the branch out (good/evil) dialogue as it really lends to having you think more about your decisions, rather than just being able to choose all of the dialogue response ala Fallout 3.

Mass Effect is, FOR ME AND BY NO MEANS AM I SAYING YOU MUST AGREE, the best game I've ever played. Ironically, I realized it when I was playing MGS4.

EDIT: I LOVE metal gear, it was just something about being thrown down such a specific tunnel that I craved the customization and free-form play of ME.

Was ME 1 flawed? Sure as hell. But a game that tackles so many design issues and comes off so damned well with so many of them completely distracts me from even contemplating the flaws in it. Great story, great character design, awesome dialogue trees, sick fighting engine (once you really figure out how to work it), and HANDS DOWN THE BEST MUSIC IN A GAME EVER.

In an unrelated twist, here's my progression of Shepards for the three times I played through it (what a great effing game):

Brock Shepard: All around good guy, with a clear sense of right and wrong that doesn't always agree with the counsel or his commanders.

Bruk Shepard: A pale-ass hot chick with full biotics and no remorse. Cut her away across the universe killing everything in her path, and f*cking over some just for fun.

John Shepard: A balding ex-engineer who is always in the wrong place at the wrong time. Based heavily on John McClane. Cracks jokes at every inopportune moment and has the battle cry of "aww, hell no."

Oh, come on people stop wasting your breath trying to convince people that it is or isn't coming to the PS3. Who cares! This teaser trailer looks freakin awesome and if you have a 360 you are golden so don't worry about it.

Mass Effect 2!!!!! HELL YEAH!!! Day 1 purchase. EA don't fvck this up like %99 of your titles when you assimilate a company. Dragon Age looks like balls so I'm a bit worried about Bioware. However this teaser gave me the chills so thats a good sign.

I honestly dont care whether or not people get this on PS3. Though if they do, I would hope they release the first one as well.

The reason I really like this game is the same as Halo...true trilogies that were set up that way from the onset. Thats why its hard to accept certain scores on Halo 2 & 3...if youre not a fan of the series, its kinda like reviewing Return of the Jedi or Return of the King (lol....irony) but you havent seen the first two or dont care about the story.

That being said, I love how this game will pick up where the first one left off, and the storyline will reflect that. Wrex died in my version (it was...sad), and I expect that to be the case when I boot up ME 2. Without that facet, to me its somewhat incomplete, especially if you dont play thru the first, because there is much to learn.

EDIT: and I wouldnt worry about EA on this: Bioware was working on this before that buyout. Which is also why I think it probably wont come to the PS3; MS published the first game, on 360 AND PC (those are both MS platforms for the uninitiated). I would seriously doubt that MS doesnt have an exclusivity clause due to that.

Since I played ME1 on the 360, and we are being told to keep our game saves, I'll be buying on the 360, even though I'd love to try it on the PS3.

Plus I don't know why but I hate that thumbnail image they used of Shepherd! Something about it, I duno.

The organization played a very minor role in the first game and a major role in the second book. Cerberus is basically a ruthless pro-human group that will use any means to push humans above the other alien species. They are very secretive and have agents everywhere.

I wonder what role they will play in ME2. It looks like it might be big since the Cerberus logo is right next to the video.
