Five Endings That Never Were

Back at the dawn of time, in about 1983, the idea that a videogame could tell a story was virtually unthinkable. These days, of course, the debate is not about whether they can but with what kind of cut-scene, and while some rare and wonderful games actually know how to spin a yarn, most of them don't: bad dialogue, lumpen exposition, tacky characterisation and outright cinematic illiteracy are not the worst we've come to expect. But some games make such a spectacular pig's dick of it that they're worthy of special mention...

This is the dumbest thing I've ever read (aside from the dribble that fanboys spout)

Konami Delists Some Metal Gear Games From Digital Stores Without Warning

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD have been delisted from digital stores without warning.

cloganart81d ago

I mean, it makes sense. With Vol.2 coming and all that

Commentby81d ago

Stupid headline. Should state that they are being updated or discontinued. This makes the crazy people that only read headlines think it some kind of conspiracy to take away peoples already purchased games.

jjb198181d ago

If you want to all of a sudden own them now and haven't played them yet because a remastered is coming out, shame on you. I can't believe people are complaining about this 15 years later when it was bound to happen anyway. "A new remaster is out, quick, I'd better buy the original from the shop."

Gamers: "Physical? who needs physical? everyone knows that digital online games are the future. stop living in the past. we don't need no stinking disc drive"

Same gamers: "How dare the delist a digital game that I own!!!!"

computeSci80d ago (Edited 80d ago )

And? What is your point?

Same gamers: "How dare the retailers to delist (quit selling) a physical game that I own!!!!"

I think you just read the headline and don't know how dilisting works with Sony. It's common knowledge that:

"Players who already bought the games will still have them in their library and can download and play them as usual."

So again, what is your point?

Would be nice if they had New Vegas ready as well, especially because of the show.

Hopefully this doesn't have the same performance issues as Oblivion Remastered.

cloganart122d ago

I haven't seen anything on these performance issues? What's been going on?

walken7122d ago

Probably the Unreal Engine issues, I skipped it for that reason.

Throw in all the DLC as well, like Oblivion and I'll definitely bite. I recall having one trophy left to unlock on the PS3 version with 100+ hours in my save. When my save file got corrupted, lol. Very sad day.

To be fair though, Bethesda was trash at Playstation ports anyway.

Michiel1989122d ago

all devs sucked at porting to ps3 for the first like 3 years because no one had experience with the cell architecture. Even 1st party took a long while to get proficient with it, the difference between uncharted 1 and 3 is massive for example.

Extermin8or3_122d ago

Oh oh oh I can do this too. GTA 7 will be made at some point in the future. Fallout 5 will enter development in the future too

jznrpg122d ago

Everyone there should know most gamers want New Vegas and Morrowind more than anything.

Christopher122d ago

Which is why we won't get them. Gotta keep floating "support this one and it might happen".

BlaqMagiq1122d ago

Can't wait. Won't have to go back to my PS3 to play this when it comes out.
