Is Sony confirming FW 2.7?

Could this help us confirm the rumors of 2.7 and it's features being true? Or is someone at Sony seriously not coding PS Home correctly? Could they be subtitles from an upcoming title Sony is already hyping?

UPDATE: Talking in the official Sony forums, someone asked if I saw the past codes. I replied yes, and the letters XI sparked something. If you didn't already read, the rumors for FW 2.7 claimed the in-game XMB loading has been drastically improved. Maybe they're revamping the in-game XMB as a whole. The letters XI could stand for 'Cross-Interface'. Okay, that's it Sony, I'm pumped.

Sounds like someones a fan of Bungie or someone IS Bungie.

EDIT: Also, from the last related report, XI is Devil Dice's japanese name...all speculation on my part, though.

I'll have to check up stuff like this in the future.

Hey, I love crytpic viral stuff like this. I was addicted to checking up things about Cloverfield.

Curiously scripted. That's been put there for a reason.

Just XI (game) was all I could think of at the time being (and I DO WANT an online PSN version of Devil Dice). Although as noted on forums XI, 'Xrossbar Interface'.

especially when viewing trophies but I think it's better for people to not get excited over this speculation because thats what it is right now, and if turns out to be false there will be a lot of moaning and groaning, so it's best to take this stuff with a grain of salt because it could really just be clumsy coding as it still is a beta.

Okay... That looks like Pseudo Code... I'm a coder and It looks like a high-level scripting language, something similar to LUA... It means:

If the variable "s" is equal to "Alpha Zone 3" then run the function OpenDoors and pass the parameter of the 9th index in the array Alpha Space...

Now... Assuming "s" is an event variable holding the string value of an area name, and the event is "enter area" or something... Then we can assume that this code will just open a door to a specific area (you don't know what because you don't know what elements the array holds). Now, lets write up some Python code to represent this:

AlphaSpace = range(9) # Create an array which will hold the numbers from 0 to 8, index 8 will equal 8
def someEvent(eventInstance):
if eventInstance.area == "AlphaTest3":
OpenDoors(AlphaSpace[8]) # Okay, run the functin and pass the 8th element (number 8)

def OpenDoors(doorArea):
print "We shall now open door number: %s" % doorArea

That simple code will represent something similar to the meaning of that high-level simple scripting language and means nothing without knowing what the actual array holds... In this case you know the item passed was an integer (8), however, in that little example you don't know what it holds, so the only clue is the equality test testing if a certain variable (which you don't know when it was defined) is equal to the string "AlphaSpace3"....

Edit: I just read what I typed up and it may not make sense to some of you who have never coded before so basically, the short answer is, is it means nothing... It's a small bit of pseudo code which may represent you "walking in an area" and a "door opening up" (I'm only going on the names of the variables and the equality test here). We have no way of knowing what "door" it's talking about, and we only know it has something to do with being "Alpha" (pre beta)

lol. Are you referring to the I LOVE BEE's stun Bungie pulled before the launch of Halo 2? That was well thought out and I wish more developers or publishers would try to top it. But sadly I don't think anyone even try anything like that other than Bungie

Bungie's always done broken up messages like that. Even in its old series Marathon. It's pretty much their thing.
Also, Google 'Cortana Messages'.

Not sure why anyone would immitate it perfectly and sneak it in Home though.

Sure i only glanced at it, but i don't understand it, so ill wait for more comments, lol.

edit: OK i read it, and that is obviously not a real error, and is scripted, if this is in home, i think it has something to do with the new spaces, like the ea sports, and socom, and all the others, they said they were coming sooner than expected, and judging by this message, they are in alpha stage, the stage before they are entered into hopefullyyy OPEN beta.

cool stuff, nothing to do with the xmb though, at least i highly doubt it.

So, I Finally Played Home

I recently published an article about beating my Steam backlog by getting organised and the first game I’ve completed with this new approach is Home.

I chose Home not because of its production values or reviews, but because, well, it’s short. I needed a game to start my new approach on the right foot and read that Home takes less than two hours to beat.

Whatever my reasons for finally installing Home, I found it to be an enjoyable yet flawed title.
