Despite the roar of harder edged, more realistic games over the past two console generations, no game character is a bigger, brighter icon for the entire industry than Nintendo's mascot. The Mario franchise has sold over 200 million videogames worldwide, making it the undisputed bestselling game series. Why deny it? Mario is videogames.
But put aside sales figures for a moment. Try to keep your personal admiration in check. And ask yourself if every Mario game is a truly great one. Is there a bad Mario game in the bunch?

The Wii is now a retro console. Let’s get nostalgic about an often maligned system.
Crazy to think the WII is to the Switch 2, as the NES was to the WII back then. 20 Year difference.
My wife asks me to bust it out (heh) everyone once in a while to play bowling and tennis with the kids. There was a ton of slop on it but some good stuff as well.
Wii was great but boy howdy did it cause Microsoft to go on a dark walk with the Kinect and the disastrous XBox One launch that they arguably never recovered from.
Not nostalgic for me.. I was there.. anyone who wasnt a little kid realized it was a gamecube with shit tacked onto it, it was the "joke" system and was well below even the switch in terms of comparing it to the latest machines at the time. The machine was well loved by young people and "casual gamers" who now remember it 20 years on, or in most cases more of its sales came in the 15-20 years ago range not right at launch- but again its not nostalgic for people who were "gamers" then really, just for those who ended up with one in their house, the games , graphics, interface and online features were archaic already in 2006.

New Chrono Trigger Form-ism figures of Crono and Marle have been showcased at a Square Enix pop-up store, with pre-orders expected soon.

It's important in life to maintain a broad palette when it comes to culture and the arts. Hideo Kojima agrees, as he continues to use video games like Death Stranding to introduce people to music and other elements they might not otherwise discover.
mario is gaming itself,I cannot imagine games without mario
super mario galaxy is perhaps the greatest\best game I played this generation, you must play it,right the wii is full of casual crap but smg is there, even if it's cost 700$ and only has sm game,I'll buy it
please nintendo,im afraid this whole new casual thing is going to turn you around, you got 3 of most talented devs of all time
mario team
zelda team
retro studios team
damn it nintendo give these golden minds a chance to prove thier abillites
im sure that all of these 3 team die to get thier hands on a full amazing next gen HD console(of course with the amazing motion controles seen in mp3,smg and zelda tp),cause if they do,the world will never be the same again
mark my words and quote me if you want
and nintendo remember that those 30 million + casual gamers who ever they are old, kids, moms etc. they don't give a sh!t about those classic hardcore nintendo games, remember that
Mario Sunshine greatly disappointed me,wouldn't call it bad, just a very big disappointment coming from Mario 64.
The bonus levels were definitely the best part of Super Mario Sunshine. I still think that the bonus levels of Super Mario Sunshine were more fun than any level of Super Mario Galaxy (except for Sweet Sweet Galaxy, which was also awesome).
Every level in Super Mario Galaxy should've been a level like Sweet Sweet Galaxy. The game was just too easy to be fun, I found. Not saying that Sweet Sweet Galaxy wasn't hard, just that you actually had to pay attention while playing it if you didn't want to die.
wow the big n is the best.. super mario bros3 and mario galaxy are the two best games of all time at least adventure games. have to go play those. unlike these sequels today. every mario games offer something fresh.
I know I'm opening my legs up for a line of people to kick me in the nuts here BUT, I didn't like super mario galaxy at all. As a mario fan since 1983, I've always found the mario games innovative and fresh, full of new ideas and (practically) THE inspiration for all other platformers, Galaxy however just didn't feel like a mario game to me. Maybe it was the camera's weird angles, or the dislocation of the space stages, whatever it was I honestly felt you could quite easily stick Sonic or Crash Bandicoot in his place, and nobody would bat an eye-lid.
I felt quite sad after playing it (although I persevered) and I have to say, it's just sat doing nothing on my shelf since I played through it. Please go easy on me about this, I feel bad enough already!
