Netflix currently only mails movies to houses, but it does have one huge gaming advantage over Blockbuster - it's Xbox 360 integration. I cannot praise the Netflix on the 360 enough, having just watched a couple episodes of 30 Rock on it last night. However, now if Blockbuster were to implement a feature like this on the PS3, I would drop my Netflix subscription in a second. Movies and games by mail, through the store, and through streaming is just too good of a deal to pass up. And it looks like that deal will be coming soon. Very soon.

Square Enix launches Final Fantasy X 25th anniversary site, revealing new Nomura art, books, music releases, and merchandise.
Look I know VIII has its issues and all that but how on earth can the do big anniversary events with new artwork and merchandise for VII, IX and X yet VIII got sweet f*** all.
They could have given it something during its 25th anniversary yet all it got was a single Happy Anniversary post on their social media.

A brutal reset, a smarter story, and a return to what made it great—Mortal Kombat (2011) revived the series.
15 years went by so fast. I remember playing through the story mode at launch.

Why did Sony push Shuhei Yoshida out of his role leading PlayStation's first-party games? He'd overseen some huge successes. Well, apparently, he didn't listen.
Yeah I can see that for sure. Shuhei Yoshida should have been in charge not Jim Ryan.
More confirmation that Jim Ryan is the culprit for what has happened to Sony. Hulst needs to go too. What sucks is that a lot of the good top heads at Sony are no longer there. I wish that guys that were forced out prematurely by Dumbo Jimbo like Shuhei and Layden came back.
Makes you wonder if MS even thought about hiring him after Phil and Sarah were leaving. He certainly couldn't make their situation any worse.
All the gamer/consumer lead heads are gone across PS and Xbox. shuhei gone phil's gone (questionable) but gone. The future of gaming is somewhat uncertain across the board.
I wouldn't be surprised if Sony made a deal like this. They're already winning when it comes to hard copies of HD media (Blu Ray). They might as well take a stab at digital streaming, too.
Oh, and for the record:
Blu Ray market penetration: 12-15%
Digital Download market penetration: 0.5-1%
Let that sink in.
i loved blockbuster online wen i had it (went to netflix then quit that)... i loved the fact of getting up to 6 movies in ONE freaking day to watch... get 3 online mailed to you, watch em all in one day (like me :) then exchange em for in store movies that same day. 6 total.
thats amazing,ESPECIALLY if your a movie goer and fanatic like myself.
it should DEFIENENTLY happen as it will boost not only sony's side but on Blockbusters as well.
and OMG if you are able to rent video games throught blockbuster from the PSN then HOOOOLLLYYY SH!T gamefly is dead lol.
THAT should DEFINENTLY BOOST the ps3's hardware sales by a sh!t load of a margin.
