Screen Play writes: "Game reviewers frequently encounter bugs when trying to assess new games because publishers often supply us with unfinished, pre-release code so that publications with long lead times can publish timely reviews.

It's not uncommon for the games to come with a long list of known bugs that the developer promises they will address before release.

The situation is less than ideal for all parties - reviewer, developer and consumer - as the reviewer either has to accept it on good faith the bugs will be addressed, which may or may not happen, or the game gets slighted for problems that the consumer might never experience.

Screen Play typically has the luxury of reviewing finished games, but I experienced a show-stopping bug this week while reviewing a promotional (finished) copy of FEAR 2: Project Origin."

Yakuza Live-Action Miniseries Debuts March 17 Exclusively on IGN

A three-episode live-action adaptation of the first two Yakuza video games will debut Tuesday, March 17 exclusively IGN. Each episode is about an hour long and will stream on IGN.com and IGN’s YouTube channel.
