i dont think just the layout of the analog sticks and the d-pad are just the only good things about the controller. I also like the shape of it, and how it fits in your hand.

My hands are not as small as they once where, id rather my Ps3 controller sit in the palms of my hands

Maybe if my parents were cousins and my thumbs were offset, it would be good. But my hands are symetrical.

It's more ergonomic. Our hands are designed in such a way that it's easier to have the left stick up. I prefer the DS3, but you can't deny the comfort of the 360's controller. If only it had more to it underneath...we'd be able to touch all four shoulder buttons at once.

I wouldn't get this though...that d-pad is atrocious!

Reminds me of the gamecube controller, except the lame "c-stick" was the bottom right stick instead of a real one.

I always loved the DualShock. It's the best controller ever. That's reason it hasn't changed much since the PS1.

You have to grab/hold the 360 controller. The PS3 controller rests/sits on your fingers. That's why my hands tend to get sweaty while using the 360 and original XboX's controllers. Plus that whole uneven analog thing is just feels wrong for FPSs. Symmetry FTW!

Love the design I'll be getting this pad can't stand that Dualshock controller.

for the life of me i dont understand why anyone would choose the xbox controller over the dualshock, its been around for about 15 years now with minimal changes and it works best so why choose anything else?

Def picking this up, you can't beat a 360 controller and shooters..IMO

They used Sony's design for the L2/R2 which IMO is the worst feature of the DS3. Too bad as I think it's a super idea.

To the PS3 fans, isn't this a good thing if it helps bring over new fans to Sony's shiny black beast? If someone hates the DS3, shouldn't there be a reliable alternative so they could enjoy the system and its games? Who knows, today's 360 owner could be tomorrow's PS3 buddy on your friend's list.

People, to reiterate, this is a GOOD thing and hopefully the start of a new era. Now if I could just convince enough gamers that ALL games should have mappable control schemes, I'd be set. My biggest pet peeve in regards to gaming itself is the insistence of developers making us play their game with THEIR control scheme. BAH!

it may be useful for shooting games but try playing fighting games and sports game with that crap dpad, then we'll see who's talking.

That the dualshocks joysticks were proven to be much more precise than the xbox 360 controllers.

I have both systems and like different things about both controllers:

Like the triggers and feel of the 360 controller.
Like the analog sticks and lightness of the ps3 controller.

Hate the 360 controller d-pad.
Hate the ps3 controller trigger buttones.
