NYCC: The Escapist: Prototype Hands On

The Escapist writes: "Open world sandboxes of destruction are nothing new, but from what I've seen, this game has the solid and entertaining execution that might make it the perfect gaming fit for the sometimes slow month of June. The one thing that may hurt it is that I don't think the developers are quite ready to acknowledge how ridiculous Prototype is because it looks awfully generic on first glance, with it's overly serious yet cool hero and storyline. That said, I think all that stands between this game and a a million sold is a good demo".

This game holds a lot of promise. I've been following this one for a while now, and hopefully the extra year of gestation has done this game some good. Everything I've seen up to this point looks really, really good. I agree with the demo thing. I want a demo.

Ranking The Coldest, Most Ruthless Protagonists In Gaming

Not all video game protagonists are sweet, jolly, or wholesome. Folks like Agent 47 are cold, ruthless, and reserved and it shows.

Pretty much all of these games listed are based around a morality system you don't have to be bad and you don't have to be good.

It seems to have left out some real amazing games like red dead redemption 1/2,ass effect and true crime la/ny

Armored Core VI?

Ok, I'm really missing something here. Just beat chapter 3 earlier this evening, unlocked A-rank Arena fights. I'm not seeing or sensing any branching paths or morality system and I've done every side mission and arena fight available to me up to that fight.

Is something big coming soon to branch the story?

No mention of Grand Theft Auto? Saints Row (original trilogy), Manhunt? Also The Suffering (depending on the ending you get).

Trevor in GTA 6 is a sadist and psychopath who dabbles in cannibalism. Should be top of the list. These game “news” sites should hire people that know games.
