I'm actually pretty interested in this game. Never played the first. but I love how the franchise is still around despite the fact it never really took off as a movie or game completely...

Nick27286316d ago

Granted Riddick is a cool looking character but there are an awful lot of him and this isn't exactly his first game either. I wonder how they'll make this into something that people will want to play.

Viewtiful6316d ago

There isn't a single other game this year that interests me more than Dark Athena, including RE5. I wait with bated breath.

cain1416316d ago

Really?

That's a lot of Riddick Loving...

Viewtiful6316d ago

It's not Riddick love; it's Starbreeze love.

dragunrising6316d ago

This is one of my top 5 games of the year. Thought it would be coming out in March, although there is a demo in its place. The first game was great...one of the better looking games last gen and unique to boot.

There are a lot of games I think that are being overlooked....Riddick being one of them. Also, I am highly anticipating The Witcher: Rise of the White Wolf. Anyone else? Also, what happened to Elveon?

Traveler6316d ago (Edited 6316d ago )

This is in my top 3 most wanted games this year, along with Killzone 2 and Uncharted 2.

I loved the original Chronicles of Riddick on Xbox and I can't wait to play the new chapter.

This game is also going to be an incredible value. It contains the entire Escape from Butcher Bay game--redone with significantly enhanced visuals and gameplay enhancements--but it also includes a whole new game equal in length to the original and picking up immediately after where the first game ended. It also has a multi-player mode that I expect will be pretty damn fun.

I seriously can't wait for this game.

I bought the first one for a rock bottom price of like $5, but its in my deep "when I get time" collection. Plan on picking this up for the new story and remake of the original.
I love the universe of Riddick...

himdeel6316d ago (Edited 6316d ago )

...collections are AWESOME to have. There's always something to play. I too have one of those collections.

I'm glad DA will have the original included on the disc. This is very pleasing and I hope more companies follow this model in the future if possible.

italianbreadman6316d ago

Cool, I'll have to grab the demo.

You know, Doom is based loosely around the time Satan borrowed two bucks from Vin Diesel and forgot to pay him back.

I thought it was Chuck Norris?

Tenchu: SA on PSOne comes to mind.
MGS is great but Tenchu is ops it in my book.

Odoylerules0003716d ago

Tenchu! NICE! Wow, I haven't seen anyone mention Tenchu in such a long time. Really, they're my favorite stealth games from back in the day. Ayame or Rikimaru?

miyamoto3716d ago (Edited 3716d ago )

That's a toughie

but seriously

It's either between Proto-Rikimaru
https://www.youtube.com/wat...

or Manji Cult
https://www.youtube.com/wat...

Nothing beats the original that won Shuhei Yoshida's heart.

Odoylerules0003716d ago

@miyamoto Okay, my mind is officially blown. First, at how gutter the first Tenchu test footage is(that jump sound effect..), and second...Wow! I had no idea that was motion capture. I immediately knew what I was looking at when he started moving, though. Incredible. Thanks a lot for showing me those, I had no idea those videos existed.

Fist4achin3716d ago

What about the one that was so stealthy, no one played it at all because nobody knew it was there?!

I'm actually having some fun with Shadows of Mordor and sneaking around the orcs and uruks
