
It's easy, when walking by the Jumpgate demo here at Comic Con, to be drawn into NetDevil's science fiction MMO. The stunning sense of scale that's present in nearly every frame of that game is hard to resist. Your own tiny fighters and freighters are dwarfed by the enormous capital ships and space stations, which are themselves eclipsed by the enormous planets looming in the background. Throw in some truly inspired designs with loads of interesting details at every viewing distance, from tiny botany pods on nearby space stations to the small stars that sparkle in the background, and you've got a game that really shows just how advanced PC graphics are these days.

LEGO Universe developer NetDevil has apparently laid off a large number of staff, with stories already circulating that the company has been closed.
