WoW: Upcoming Class Change Highlights (Part 2)

Blizzard have revealed the next lot of proposed changes to hit classes in World of Warcraft when patch 3.1 hits servers. This time it's Warlocks, Warriors and Druids who find out what will be affected in the alterations.

Im a prot War... so this is beyond awesome.

"You now gain rage when damage done to you is absorbed, such as through a Power Word: Shield.

Sunder Armor (and similar debuffs) now reduces armor by 4% per application, and is now a single rank. Creature armor has been globally reduced so that debuffed targets should take about the same damage from physical attacks that they did before this change. The net effect should be that this debuff is slightly less mandatory in PvE and is not disproportionately more powerful against cloth targets in PvP.

We are also looking at granting rage when the warrior blocks, dodges or parries."

Pointless changes..Until they get rid of the root problems then they can do class changes til the end of time it will solve nothing. Remove fear,stun, charm, and bubbles from the game, then start to try to balance it out. Even tenacity is worthless without those changes. What good does 100% damage do when its 4-1 and you get stunned/feared 4 times as much?

I actually recently quit because of class imbalance.

a rogue can turn invisible, sneak up to you, stun you, and unload dps that rivals and surpasses in some instances any other dps class. Basically, if a rogue knows what the hell he is doing you can only beat him if you bust off every cooldown perfectly timed and get lucky or have someone to help you. trinket and/or racial on cooldown? you're done! you get lucky and burst down the rogue? rogue stealths out of fight, heals, and fight resets. it's BS.

A properly specced hunter, has a tank/dps/cc pet, more range than any other class, a quicker rate of fire than any other class, can shoot while moving around without wasting cooldowns and do great dps unlike other casters, etc.

I rolled a affliction warlock up to 74 because I suspected they were OP before I quit and I literally felt embarassed dueling anyone even a couple levels above me because I just owned face unless the toon I was facing had a lot of shadow resistance or got lucky then it might take longer for me to win. instant fear, dot up target, another fear, dot up target. how is the person supposed to beat me unless they get lucky? they don't even control their character from the get-go. you trinket out? OK. Howl and death coil are both instant and while you're feared and dotted up I fear you again.

All this while other classes like say Warriors and Mages require more skill and don't really have an outright easy mode. It should not be that way.

Blizz needs to rethink class mechanics instead of looking at raw numbers and what the top 1% of arena guys can do.

Exactly my point..Thank you for understanding.i Had a lock myslef but stopped because it was just too easy in PVP. They are just getting out of hand with some of the class changes making them too powerful against other classes.

Thanks Pennywise for proving once again that SOny fans in gerenal are not that bright and love to comment on things they know nothing about.Those are not survival skills. WTH does that even supose to mean? What do you consider the classes that do not have instant win skills? Do they not have survival skills at all? Shamans can fight and win and do it without fear, stun, bubbles. So you're saying Shamans have no survival skills? I think maybe the reason your posts makes no sense is because you know nothing about warcraft. You just see someone that doesnt worship the PS3 the way you do and want to prove them wrong. Even if it means posting with some clueless idiot post

Wow - There you go assuming.... No I didnt play WoW for years until after BC. Nope that wasnt me. I never spent all my time after work farming, raiding and in battle grounds... again, that wasnt me.

Shamans dont have grounding totems anymore? Or the shock to stop a cast? What about those fear totems? I quit over a year ago because I was an addict. True those skills are are a little imba, but they all have counters. But let me guess... you play ally? Undead FTW.

If a lock (was my main) didnt have fear or succy didnt have seduce, what kind of survival would that poor squishy lock have? Blizz will never remove those skills... They have nerfed them over and over in PVP which results in PVE nerfs too. They work fine in raids - OR used to... I wouldnt know anymore. But yeah you are right, I dont know anything... you dont like PS3 so I just want to combat you.

You think removing any of that cc is gonna make your life easier?

Most warlocks are just terrible players, and they won't be powerful again until later seasons. Even then don't expect anywhere near their same level of stre...

Again you prove you have a high level of ignorance.. Crowd Control is not a bubble. I didnt say remove all CC from the game. BTW how did survival change to CC? Oh because you're an idiot and now that you know you were wrong you change your story. Snares are fine. I have no issues with snares.

In your ignorance you are assuming that I am asking for all to be removed and the game be left alone as is. That is not what I am talking about though. Clearly this is something you and your other account or friend cannot comprehend. Yes locks without fear would be too squishy, thats why I would like them to balance them after removing it. I said nothing of the VW bubble or the Succubus moves. Only fear.

Pro 360? Whatever made you think that? Oh because I dont worship Sony like you do must mean I am a fanboy right? I am a fan og games regardless of the system. Unlike you I dont spend my time trashing games or console I do not own. I've said as many good things about Sony as I have bad, but what is wrong with recognizing that Sony is in last place? It doesnt take a fanboy to admit that, only a fanboy would try to deny it.. You take what I say about Sony as negative when its just the truth. BTW I would never support a MS console. never have never will.That doesnt mean I will lie about the shape the PS3 is in though.

Wow... just copying and pasting your hypocritical comments has made me dizzy. You are smoking something, because you did say something about bubbles and CHARM (VW AND SUCCY). You did ask for removal too. I dont even know if I am having a conversation with the same person. You are bi-polar???

And by the way nooblet, CROWD CONTROL is WoWs chars main means of SURVIVAL. As they would say in WoW - L2P.

warlocks only suck in the ways that all other clothies suck. they're nothing special in their suckage. it's just that they're no longer completely EZ mode, just EZ mode lite. they're a terror on the BG, a terror one on one, a terror in PVE, and there are Warlocks in the top arena teams so they must not be completely broken in Arenas although admittedly that is their weakness.

I was talking more specifically to raiding. Most Aff locks have a hard time keeping up damage as compared to other clothies. I know how to play lock since I been through most of BC raid encounters in which I never had hard time keeping up.

Its pretty well a consensus even on the lock forums on WoW.com.

EDIT: in bc I crushed all other classes in damage in PVE. not the case now. No opinion on pvp since i don't do it much.

Yeah, I guess MMOs are just inherently imbalanced due to gear and complex multi-specced class mechanics. "Balanced" games are usually symmetrical or relatively simple in their mechanics. It's either you accept these imbalances and roll with the punches, nerfs, and buffs, play mostly PVE, roll a flavor of the current patch class, or get fed up and quit.

I was actually referring to EverQuest and all the complaints by certain class'. My experience with Diablo is limited to playing the PlayStation version that came out years ago, though I did enjoy the hell out of that.
