"It can be hard to make a mark in a genre where even back in 2019 Soulslikes were brimming with variations. That is when Bandai Namco tried something a bit different, infusing anime-styled characters and a storyline packed with unique takes on the genre with Code Vein. Offering a different approach to combat, skills, and even the standard approach to playing with allies, Code Vein found itself a certain niche with its style and now seven years later the series has returned and is looking to reinvent itself again. Only this time, it will do so both with some time traveling and an open world to boot. The question is, have these adjustments to Code Vein II retained what made the original unique enough to stand out from the pack?"

CODE VEIN II is and action JRPG from Bandai Namco. Gaming Respawn reviews.

The PlayStation 5 was the best-selling console in the US for January 2026 in terms of units sold and dollar sales, according to figures from Circana (formerly The NPD Group). Circana includes the dates for the four-week period of January 4 to 31.
Well congrats to them. As far as the Switch 2 is concerned.. it should be obvious by now that it is priced too high!
I am not sure why the Switch 2 is being outsold by the ps5.
I remember there being a campaign by Sony to get the stragglers on the PS4 to upgrade, but surely that push is not this effective right?
Nintendo got too greedy with the switch 2.
Why there is no data? Ok let's compute.....
PS5 January 2025 sales is 301,863. According to circana PS5 january 2026 sales is down 17% from last year. So...
301,863 - 51317 = 250,546 (estimated sales in january)..
Meanwhile in Japan january 2026 sales. Switch 2 sold 318,816 and PS5 sold 42,929. The Difference is 275k+ units.
So what is the data of #2 console in US for january 2026? I am sure it is not just 100k sold. XD
Man I got heat for saying the switch 2 was the OPPOSITE of what MOST Nintendo fans are used to and wanted. Nintendo has always innovated and has not tried to be the “most powerful” anything since N64. Every iteration of Nintendo systems and handhelds took things in a new direction and offered experiences you could only get there. From the Virtual boy to the N64 controller to the GameCube controller everything offered some different way to interact with gaming. The Wii was like a nuke. The WiiU was more of an enhancement, but still offered a new way to interact. The Switch let you take gaming on the go with console level graphics. Passing a joycon to a friend for 2players. Sliding switches together for one screen. Truly innovative stuff. For Nintendo to offer a Switch 2 and it’s just better graphics and screen… generations of Nintendo tells you graphics are not high on a Nintendo fans list. It’s a companion console. Want the graphics, turn on A. Want the experience? Jump on Nintendo. All the “Nintendo is going to destroy blah blah when the switch 2 hits” has been wildly silent.
I get every system and while I thought Xbox would be the first system I didn’t get day one in generations, it turned out to be the Switch 2. Nintendo, get back to being Nintendo with whatever you do next.

Here's how to unlock the true ending in Code Vein 2!
