From Switch 1 to Unreal Engine 5: we pick this year's best.

The Canadian Game Awards celebrates gaming’s greatest achievements created by developers in the Great White North in 16 categories, with contenders ranging from AAA games like Dragon Age: The Veilguard to indie titles like this year’s surprise hit Balatro. The ceremony will occur on February 15, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time. The Awards have previously been shown on Amazon Prime Video, though they may not be available in every region.
In addition to celebrating games and their developers, the Canadian Game Awards also highlight some of the gaming community through their Esports and Content Creator categories. This is a nice way to honor the people who create meaningful ways to engage with gaming as a hobby outside of just playing games. At the very least, the Canadian Game Awards is a great way to learn about some new games that may have been overlooked by other awards ceremonies this past year.

Celebrating the Best in Gaming with the winners of The Steam Awards. Report by Phoebe Kahn on Women Love Tech.

For the past decade, The Game Awards have celebrated each year's top video games in various categories.
However, the most coveted has always been the Game of the Year, which recognizes the best title according to a panel of experts and part of the gaming community.
Although there has always been controversy, the entire industry stops to see which games have been selected for the award thanks to the volume the organization has gathered.
Therefore, it's time to review history, remember the winners, and rank them from worst to best in this list with every GOTY of the last decade.
9 out of 10 last GOTYs playable on Playstation:)
It was such a great decade so many memorable moments... Good to be a gamer folks
GOTY of the Last Decade, availability!
Playstation: 10 out of 11
PC: 8 out of 11
Xbox: 7 out of 11
Nintendo: 4 out of 11
Okay, but The Game Awards are the most biased, least game-centric awards of all big 5 (with GJA, GDCA, BAFTA, DICE). They're diet E3, an ad reel for new games with awards as a side dish.
Almost none of TGA's GotY winners are the true game of the year besides maybe Baldur's Gate 3 and Elden Ring (which had no competition in 2022 aside for God of War).
# 1 - DOOM The Dark Ages
# 2 - Assassin's Creed Shadows
# 3 - Death Stranding 2
Congrats microsoft last year it was indy jones and hellblade 2
This year it's DOOM The Dark Ages
Next year
Gears E-Day

wolverine
Halo
GTA 6
And maybe Squadron 42! What a year!
Disappointed to see Star Wars Outlaws on there. Sure, the game *can* look good, but it has so many issues with keeping it looking good even with good GPUs. Even with config alterations that need to be made since Division, muddy textures pop up like crazy over time. They should prioritize games that work well and look well, not just look well for 10 to 15 minutes before it decides to kick the bucket with a memory leak.
Personally, Death Stranding 2 would be my pick. I appreciate the technical presentation of AC Shadows however, a big factor for me in a games graphical appeal is the art design and in this respect, nothing comes close to DS2.
this rly depends on how someone defines "best graphics"
definitely different for everyone
