I hope people give this remaster a change. Both titles are a pretty fun time, really PS2 style in terms of gameplay and substance and for the price they are asking, it's a no-brainer in my eyes.

I enjoyed my time with it but I can see how some will think it’s too outdated. I’ll buy it for my collection

Still working on my review for it, but yeah it isn't going to click with everyone... Even so, the game is a full on love letter to what gaming used to be, and those who miss the PS2 days should really give this one a chance! They went above and beyond with this remaster as well. Not many developers would be willing to invest so much time improving a game that was previously a total loss, but I'm glad they did!

Of course there are still some rough edges here and there, but the dev themselves have acknowledged them. As stated in the interview, they wanted to do full motion cutscenes, but it came down to either focusing on that, or the core gameplay and world. Personally, I'm glad they chose to focus on the gameplay itself, versus the handful of cutscenes. Most of the story is told through dialogue while playing anyway, and from simply exploring the world itself. While I still consider it a drawback (I'll be pointing out in my review), it doesn't ruin the experience, and I completely understand the decision.
