Direct from the dev updates are the best. The things I read about the nerfing on some sites just didn't sound right.
I am fully against generative AI, but someone who uses AI voices as their entire reason to negatively review an otherwise great game, shitting on the work of 300 human developers due to dogmatism, has no business reviewing games, or anything else. 🤔
Eurogamer has become irredeemable trash since the acquisition by IGN.
Eh i dunno, it's a smaller studio on a $40 game with very minimal dialogue. It'd be different if this were some AAA $70 game with hundreds or thousands of lines of dialogue but it isn't.
Get over it. AI is only getting better and if it improves a game and speeds up development I’m all for it. To review a game with a bias is completely disingenuous and doesn’t benefit anyone.
They paid voice actors to use their voices in tandem with AI so they dont have to keep coming in to record whenever the LIVE SERVICE game releases new items, maps, or pings. All parties agreed and signed a contract.
I cant wait until eurogamer goes under just like other legacy gaming media.
There needs to be a renaissance in gaming media like we are seeing with AAA devs and Indie devs taking their lunch.
im torn with the AI voices. but giving it a 2 out of 5 Just cause of it is abit ridiculous.
they could have hired new voice actors for it i feel like. especially since its 40 moneys and not free.
on the other handz it definitely sped things up development wise.
i dont like people justifying it tho. cause if u find it ok with this game, u also need to accept it with other games. theres no pick n choosing
