I don't know if you can change the rendering engine from FSR to DLSS without some work. Not entirely sure they can just switch it. The game looks fantastic though.

Jin_Sakai214d ago

Look good and love the art style but there’s no aliasing and the frame rate is a mess. DLSS would’ve fixed these two issues.

Jin_Sakai214d ago

Then they should put effort into it and get it working. There’s no anti aliasing and the framerate is a mess sometimes. Both of which DLSS would fix.

Neonridr214d ago

@Jin - aside from the menu, one boss fight and then just minor hiccups here and there, the game runs pretty awesomely the vast majority of the time.

I think the lack of DLSS was down to developer inexperience and that this game more than likely started as a Switch 1 game. Here's hoping that 1st party titles can leverage the power of DLSS moving forward.

Levii_92215d ago

Fix the goddamn framerate!!

Dexterio214d ago

ikr?
Somehow it gets ignored by the Ninty contingent, and all those glowing reviews for the game seem to brush it off. "but but it's fun" lol

Neonridr214d ago

I have over 65 hours logged into the game. I am 25 bananas away from 100% the game.

I can say with certainty that it runs amazingly the vast majority of the time. Aside from there being a brief pause when you access the menu and then the odd hiccup here and there, some people really are grasping at straws to try to put this game down.

Even Digital Foundry said that the frame drops were isolated and far between.

17M+ units in 6 months! Others on this site are insisting on only 10M units. XD

And as for Switch 1 total sales, it will only take a few months for it to surpass the 160M of PS2.

repsahj116d ago

Will Sony magically be able to dig up PS2s again to increase the 160M number when the Switch is about to surpass it? hahaha.

They already did this in 2024 because Switch 1 is getting close to 155m. They might do it again because Switch is getting close to 160M.

Dexterio116d ago (Edited 116d ago )

"And as for Switch 1 total sales, it will only take a few months for it to surpass the 160M of PS2."
Few months lol. Maybe in a few years, and if it happens, that would be a big indication that the Switch 2 is not as successful as some here wanted us to believe; people still buy the OG Switch because there is nothing exciting on the Switch 2 and it's cheaper lol.

Rage77115d ago

Too bad it took over 12 years for PS2 to reach that number (before Jim Ryan made took some more out of his ass) Does that mean people were buying PS2s becasue it was cheaper and nothing good on PS3 and almost PS4? Nice try. 🤣🤣🤣

Sgt_Slaughter115d ago

The Switch 2 is outselling the Switch 1 when compared to their first years. You can swing this anyway you want, but that doesn't change reality and sales figures.

By your own logic, every single console has released to lackluster success because people kept buying the console before it. Sony even combined PS2 and PS3 sales at one point to help negate the lackluster start of the PS3.

badz149115d ago

@Rage77

people were buying PS2s because it was cheaper and nothing good on PS3. remember that the PS3 was released in 2006, God of War 2 was released in 2007.

Destiny1080116d ago

it was at 10 million when i googled it a week ago, these are fresh numbers

17 million in 6 months is crazy

repsahj115d ago

I think that number is until October only. And during the holidays, Switch 2 sold 7m+.

salis844115d ago

June 5 to December 31 is essentially seven months.

From the chart in the actual presentation.

"Cumulative global sell-through as of the 4th week of December 2025 15 million units."

"Sales Status of Hardware and Software (Sell-In) 17.37 million units."

15m Sold = sell-through

17.37m Shipped = sell-in

andy85115d ago

Itll probably get there. But at currently pace it's like a year and a half. And thats without that number declining as people get switch 2s instead

repsahj115d ago

Maybe they still can. They need to put extra effort into promotions again and release bundled promos like with
2-3 games and 1yr Nintendo online subs.

There's a lot of people who want the switch to fail for some weird reason

They took Christmas sales as a indication that the system was a flip and proceeded to celebrate prematurely

I still believe the Switch 2 is not gonna be as successful as the OG Switch. We'll see ;)

darthv72116d ago

Well... it can't be the new wiiu if it already passed it and is on track to keep selling over the next several years. It took WiiU 4 years to even get close to 14m. SW2 passed it in 6 months.

Sgt_Slaughter115d ago (Edited 115d ago )

The PS5 is showing to not reach the PS4, so you should worry about that instead.

hiawa23115d ago

That is pretty amazing. I love what Nintendo did with the Switch 2 as they fixed every issue I had with the original and it seems devs agree given the amount of 3rd party support it is receiving.

repsahj115d ago

I agree! That was their previous criticism of the Switch 1, now Nintendo has responded with the Switch 2. They still can't beat the games on console versions but the gap is massive compared to Switch 1 and ps4. For me, the end result that you see with your eyes while playing is what's important, not that you have to dissect the game and zoom in 200% to see the difference.

Levii_92115d ago

Most disappointing console i've ever bought. I regret buying it right away.

Sgt_Slaughter115d ago (Edited 115d ago )

It's a better Switch with much better graphics, third-party support, and fully backwards compatible. You knew what it would be before purchasing.

Besides, surely you were more disappointed by the PS3's launch or the Vita given how rough theirs were in comparison.

Neonridr115d ago

how is it more disappointing than the original Switch? It's an improvement in every way when you directly compare.

Sgt_Slaughter115d ago

All those clickbait YouTubers and Twitter users are going to be working overtime to try and swing this as a bad thing, when it continues to defy expectations and break records.

The Switch 2 has now outsold the Steam Deck nearly 3x over and is outselling the OG Switch by nearly 5,000,000 with half a year of sales to go for its first year.

repsahj115d ago

LOL! Specially Nintendeen. XD

MayorPauline115d ago

Apparently he was begrudgingly saying he was wrong. I'll take reddits word for it though. He ain't getting any traffic from me. I dont need him or any one like him stinking up my feed. You let in one grifter and the algotherim decides to flood you with them. 😆
