Review - Plants vs. Zombies: Replanted (PlayStation 5) | GameHype

Fresh from the 2010s, Plant vs. Zombies has made its return to the spotlight with Plants vs. Zombies: Replanted. Available on PC, PS5, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch, developers PopCap Games and The Lost Pixels claim that the Replanted version of the game is "bigger, brighter and crazier than before." Plants vs. Zombies was all the rage when it was released, even I was a victim of the game's craze. Fourteen years later, here we are testing the remastered version - the circle of life. Let's see how this tower defense game stands up against time. Author: Aaliyah Bennett for Game Hype UK.

Review - Plants vs. Zombies: Replanted (Switch) | WayTooManyGames

WTMG's Oliver Shellding: "You can slap a fresh coat of makeup and a beautiful dress on a reanimated corpse, but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s a staggering, hungry mess. Plants vs. Zombies: Replanted ends up doing meta commentary on itself. The franchise has been raised from the dead, not with something new but with a necromantic amalgamation of what it was, what it could be and what it ultimately is. If you have no other way to play Plants vs. Zombies, you can mostly enjoy it on the Switch, and at least the asking price isn’t too strong. But don’t reward mediocrity. Insist that this be made better, or simply walk away. The zombies, I assure you, will be just fine."

Mediocre because the switch 1 version sucks based on lag from a specific zombie, and cards that you see once a level for 1 second are a bit blurry, sounds like a score id give in the middle of rage because I died 10 times
Not what I would expect from an official review

That’s because you respectively don’t know what you’re talking about. This remaster is actually stripped of lots of detail from the original. It’s reselling a product at an increased price with less work actually put into it including the lies and misinformation from the developer. It’s a complete sham of a remaster. To the point where they’ve had to actually publicly apologise. Unfortunately being given a green light to EA that it’s ok to accept this kind of behaviour in the first place by people like yourself that unfortunately don’t know any better.

Didn't see any of that mentioned in the review so point still stands
I think you meant "respectfully " btw
Maybe before talking down to people:)
