The Game Business writes: "It’s the biggest first-party PlayStation launch since Spider-Man 2 in October 2023.
The PS5 exclusive narrowly missed out on No.1, with EA Sports FC 26 holding on for a third week at the top. The football game’s standard edition had only launched the week before, and sales are down 62% week-on-week."

Ghost of Tsushima ended up being one of the most beloved outings of the PS4 generation, and so topping the adventures of Jin Sakai was never going to be easy.
And while we think that opinions will likely always be divided on which Ghost title is best, Ghost of Yotei is a superb sequel that both builds on its predecessor, and delivers a slightly different take on samurai cinema.
Definitely MY game of the year.
All I have left now is to beat Takezo, but that fool is difficult. I’m learning little by little thought, I’ll soon earn the win, and the plat.

If you like playing as unstoppable warriors and skilled assassins, you won't want to miss these hits of 2025.

TV: "Awards season is here again, and we’d like to present the Best of 2025 PlayStation titles, courtesy of our staff at Twisted Voxel."
"opening sales in-line with its predecessor, 2020’s PS4 hit Ghost of Tsushima (digital and physical)."
Thats good because when Ghost Of Tsushima launched, PS4 was at about 113 million consoles in the wild. When Ghost of Yotei launched PS5 is at only 80 million consoles sold. The sequel selling on par with the 1st game is very good indeed.
I played GoT when it came out on PS Plus extra. I was hooked. I should have bought the game when it launched.
Because of this, I bought GoY. GoY didn't let me down. Thanks Sucker Punch and Playstation Studios as a whole.
Also great result for Digimon @ number 4. Im rooting for you!
GotY contender!
