Makes sense, casuals will usually just buy one or a combination of madden, fifa, 2k, and cod and they're good for the whole year lol.

I wouldn’t say I’m a casual game but nowadays you’re lucky if your game warrants my purchase . Only a few devs and publishers get to see my money ever since we’ve entered this gen . I can easily name you the games I went for and theees not much . Last year I bought silent hill 2 and it’s still in the sealed wrap I’m taking my time with other games I never got to finish before jumping on something else . Next year seems to have more games that would warrant my buy like onimusha , Pragmata and re9 I only go for a certain type sadly .

Yea, and the next generation of players under say 15. That only plays f2p. Like Fortnite, Roblox, Rocket League, Apex and so on. And buy no games whatsoever.

Yes! When someone at work claims to be a gamer, and follows it up with, “did you get the new call of duty?” I end the conversation. I might ask, “Have you heard of clair obscure expedition 33?” When they reply, “No, I never heard of it.” I end the conversation. Sometimes these supposed gamers will irritate me with false facts. For example, “ Theres this cool Zombie game coming out called the last of us! Its based off of a tv show! Im getting it when it comes out!” Mind you, this person only has an xbox, they hate on the PlayStation, don’t want to hear TLOU is a PlayStation exclusive, has a sequel and multiple iterations have been released over the years. I attempt to show them on my phone, but they don’t believe me. I end the conversation. I guess this article makes sense

I must be in the minority... I buy at least two a month. .

This is the first time I'm actually agreeing with you. I'm still buying physical games and my backlog is starting to scare me a little bit because of the games that I have bought and I haven't even opened yet.

I definitely don't buy as many as i used to, but it's definitely more than 2 a year😅. Makes sense tho, most just buy the annual sports game and f2p games like warzone or Fortnite.

makes sense

but games have become so ridiculously pricey that id rather wait for a deal than buy them day one

no wonder MS is feeling the heat with the previous GP prices
