PSVR 2 Release Calendar: What to Expect in Q4 2025

Many suggest that the PSVR 2 is already a dead platform, but the Q4 2025 release calendar clearly states otherwise.

Short answer, don't expect too much...

kevco33100d ago

I think there may be more than you imagine. There's only a handful of games with specified dates right now, but as per the article there's plenty with 'Q4 TBC' style announcements. This seems to be the way of VR right now, and PSVR 2 is no exception.

crazyCoconuts100d ago

I've got a big backlog of VR games to buy and try. Can't wait to play Hitman VR for example. As soon as my PS and Xbox subs expire in a few months my leash will be off and I'll buy what I want to play again.

thorstein100d ago

Been hearing that since 2015.

And yet, I play mine every week. Let me guess, they're all tech demos, amiright?

I always found it funny that people who've never had a VR system are the leading self proclaimed experts on it.

Oh but you have one, right? And it's a) collecting dust b) a doorstop.

Yeah, heard those since 2015 too.

Neonridr100d ago

I've been big into VR since my first headset which was an Oculus Rift CV1. Since then I've had a PSVR, Valve Index, PSVR2 and Quest 3. I'd like to think I'm a huge supporter of VR.

And mine is collecting dust right now.

Waiting for a title to suck me back in, but it's slim pickings right now.

S2Killinit100d ago

@Neonridr
But you’ve been saying things like that since before the launch. You were never a fan of PSVR2. Since the beginning.

The reveal of VR2 support for Flight sim has me enthused. I enjoyed flight sim on XB, but to play it in VR and have that psudo freedom of looking around the cabin while flying is something Im really looking forward to doing. I dont have many VR games to begin with, but so many on PC just seemed like it would be a great fit for the console space. And im quite surprised Valve has been keeping Alyx so close to their chest for so long. That one just would explode in even more popularity if it were given the console treatment. Valve and Sony did get it working on a PC using the VR2, but still nothing for a PS5 edition.

Abnor_Mal100d ago

@darth People better be careful when purchasing MicroSoft Flight Sim, because there’s another flight sim in the store which seems to be a very cheap cash grab.

Similar to the driving game Grand Rush vr, a very simplified racing game where it seems there’s no real racing just get to the finish marker in x amount of time, I only played it once and never again.

There's almost a game or two weekly releasing on PSVR2 and most of them are worth the time... Next time you comment, try playing it first.

MrBaskerville100d ago

Yeah, it might not have any support from Sonys studios whatsoever, but that doesn't mean there's no games. Been going strong ever since Metro released last year.

S2Killinit100d ago

The way I see it, every release is a console exclusive. Which means PSVR2 has more exclusives than xbox as a console.

You got 8 downvotes for crushing the feelings of 8 people who made super poor decisions to buy another Sony device with no support that milked it's fanbase.... Guarantee they're the same 8 people who also purchased a psvr1 😂

Dexterio100d ago

@TheEroica Xbots are the last people to talk about milking. Just pay up those $e0 Ultimate GP and shut up! lol.

Hilarious... Sony and their unsupported products. Yikes.

Trenches VR looks cool.. and if I am right, it's done by one person

Reach looks cool too

Abnor_Mal100d ago

It’s a shame that Lo-Fi is in limbo as of right now. Last I read they ran out of money and I looking for a new source. Hopefully things work out for them and they get to put the game out so people can play.

I suggest bookmarking UploadVr page for release date and update :)

I honestly don’t get why Sony chose to remove PSVR2 most of the games from the PS+ subscription, especially since they still have a bunch of PSVR1 titles available. It seemed like a great way to promote PSVR2.

darthv72100d ago

Sony could make a whole lot of VR2 users extremely happy by patching VR1 games to support VR2.

Abnor_Mal100d ago

I said this at the beginning of the PSVR2 life, Sony should get the devs to update their exclusive games like Blood and Truth, The Persistance, Bravo Team, and Farpoint.

Then get the third party devs commissioned to update their games controls, if it’s a $10 update I’m sure most wouldn’t mind.

Jingsing99d ago

@Abnor_Mal Most of those devs are gone now.

Can’t wait, especially now that I’ve learned that Ace Combat8 will not have any kind of vr component.

Wasn’t really keeping up with Aces because it was all multiplayer, I guess this will have to do
