Gamers, hey! Every now and then there’s always someone that has to fit the stereotype.

It's Microsoft they are making dipshit moves that are tanking the Xbox brand. After all that is stated who wants to stick around and support Microsoft when they drop the ball again.

Even in the computing space Microsoft does not care about anything that isn't AI

They could happily burn the entire thing to the ground

CeX the real best deal in gaming IMO go out and buy physical versions if your games while you can.

Xbox has spent the last half a decade luring budget conscious gamers into a corrner with digital only series s consoles and gamepass only to turn around and lock the doors behind them.

This is why physical media is so important it's not hust preservation but choice you can chose where to spend your money and how you can buy used or new you can keep it or resell.

Microsoft know this they've been trying to remove consumer choice 2013

Microsoft can try all they want but I literally just bought a PS5 and I'll never look back.

I was probably one of the few Xbox users on N4G but I'll never blindly defend a corporation.

mark_parch226d ago

hardly any physical versions contain the full game these days, so even that isn't full proof. The only full proof way is to have all you games fully downloaded onto a hard drive and also have the disc for authentication.

Profchaos226d ago

I agree from a preservation point of view but from a consumption point of view being able to buy from the cheapest retailer or second hand on eBay is something that we lose on Digital games.

Even if we preserve onto a hard drive those fail we need redundancy and we can only do so much it's why we are really at the mercy of laws to allow preservation to sites like archive.org

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Once they re-evaluate exclusive all will be fine….

S2Killinit17d ago

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.

Jingsing17d ago

15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.

Tanktopmaster9217d ago

These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse
