"NBA 2K26 improves and streamlines the experience into a complete game - some virtual currency balancing issues hold it back, though."

O'Dell Harmon Jr. writes: "Before we say goodbye to 2025, let’s take a look back and see what were the most downloaded games of the year. It was a great time for sports, shooters, and some new PlayStation VR2 games. Sports favorites topped the charts in US/Canada and EU, with NBA 2K26 and EA Sports FC26, respectively.
Juggernaut GTA V found a home in the top three for both regions, with new 2025 release Battlefield 6 claiming second place in the US. Fortnite took top place for free-to-play games, and Beat Saber continues its PS VR2 success."
It’s funny to watch the only games EU and USA agree on was Minecraft and back ops 7 both regions on 6 and 7 spot respectively other than that FIFA rules EU
I would like to see a list that has both free to play and paid games together, but at least we have this.
To this day GTA5 is a top downloaded game and it makes me wonder if the industry is really ready for GTA6. I imagine almost nothing else will sell during that game's release window.

Azfar from NoobFeed writes: NBA 2K26 is a solid basketball sim that feels more like a pocket transition than a revolution. Hardcore players will notice the recycled flaws, but they are still limited to the minute details. It’s fun, it’s flashy, but it still has room to grow. All that being said, you know, for a basketball game, nothing can really go shoulder-to-shoulder with 2K’s juggernaut. So NBA 2K26 has once again slam dunked on its competition (there isn’t any) and on our wallets.

The Rockstar game is now coming November 19, 2026. We speak to Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick
What are you talking about? This same sequence of delays happened with GTA V and RDR2. They should know better by now lol
Strauss is a farkin liar, tell the truth, the game will not be out until October 2027 and you know it
I really don't understand the shock and surprise with this delay. this has literally been every single GTA release 😂
Maybe Gamers need to stop overreacting to delays. A little disheartening sure, but being upset or mad about it is just too much.
I don't understand why they felt the need to announce it so early, even with GTAV and RDR2 it was the same
GTA is massive, they could have waited until around Summer 2026 and then release it within a few months, it would have still sold super well. I understand new IPs needing time to establish themselves to gain hype but huge franchises like GTA shouldn't need that at all.
Bethesda had it right with Fallout 4, it was announced at E3 June 2015 and released within 4 months.
