Get a first look at how Resident Evil Requiem compares on Nintendo Switch 2 to PS5 with a graphics comparison video.
Capcom has shared some further gameplay clips and details for Resident Evil Requiem as part of the newest Resident Evil Showcase, as it works to show off the differences between playing as Leon and Grace in the campaign.
A bit underwhelming showcase. They showed only merchandise. I wish they had shown the gameplay of each version and explained the available controls and modes.
This game looks worse and worse every time they do an info drop. Initially had me so hyped but it just looks like hot garbage now. Leon and his stupid spin kicks, then that stupid hand canon. By the time you’ve got to the product placements it’s just an embarrassment. What a disaster.
Capcom will host Resident Evil Showcase on January 15 at 2:00 p.m. PT / 5:00 p.m. ET / January 16 at 7:00 JST, the company announced. You will be able to watch it on YouTube (English, Japanese) and Twitch.
please give us a demo of the game. We got demos for 7 and 8 ahead of release, would be nice if they did the same here.
I haven't watched any trailers from Requiem since the first. That's what I try to do for all games I know I want to play to have the game be as fresh as possible. Would have been awesome to not know that Leon is in the game but headlines made that impossible. Oh well. Can't wait to play.

From GTA 6 to Resident Evil 9, 007 First Light, and more, these are the biggest games arriving in 2026.
Maybe the Switch 2 version will be even better on release date, considering how good Capcom's 2 games on the Switch 2 that use the RE Engine turned out.
Now just need the Virtua Boy version vs PSVR2 version comparison.
Pretty big difference. But one is a console and one is a handheld.
I think it'll look close to the PS5 when it gets close to release. It looks good so far, but it does need some work. I think people forget that a lot of games tend to look better closer to release.
Resident Evil Requiem isn't as graphically intense as Cyberpunk and Star Wars Outlaws, so it'll look better near release.
Also, Switch 2 dev kits haven't been out that long.
dang, Capcom. Can we have atleast one proper current gen h/w only RE game that's only possible at minimum on a Series S? Like made from ground up for current gen only non-handheld hardware using an upgraded RE engine?
~Can RE10 be that? Not like RE4R made to run on PS4 or RE9 made to run on Switch 2 in mind?
