Cramming five different styles of game play is no small feat. Does the team over at SHUTEN ORDER succeed in this or is this too much?

VGChartz's Evan Norris: "Shuten Order may be Kazutaka Kodaka’s most ambitious work, but it’s not his best. Its multi-genre experiment, while bold and brave, doesn’t work as intended, resulting in an uneven adventure with several shallow, overlong vignettes. The game’s successes in story, music, voiceover work, and aesthetic elevate the proceedings but not enough to erase that central shortcoming."

NoobFeed author Adiba writes: Shuten Order strikes a mix between realistic character illustrations and whimsical designs that capture the Ministers' extravagant personas. Each suspect stands out in group scenarios because their look communicates their role and personality. The idea of a civilization disintegrating under the weight of divine dogma is furthered by backgrounds that combine religious imagery with a deteriorated futurism.

"SHUTEN ORDER is an Adventure game with the developer being Nelo inc. With the backing coming from Spike Chunsoft, which in a moment will make a lot of sense." Ruddy @ Thumb Culture
