Lost Soul Aside Dev Assures Players It is 'Actively Working on Optimizations'

UltiZeroGames: "Dear players,

We have received your feedback regarding the performance of certain cutscenes in the prologue of *Lost Soul Aside*. Currently, some of these cutscenes are pre-rendered 4K/30fps videos, which may cause occasional stuttering during playback. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and appreciate your understanding.

The *Lost Soul Aside* team is actively working on optimizations, and future updates will address this to deliver a smoother gameplay experience.

Thank you for your continued support and patience!"

I’d like to know the full breakdown. The ps5 pro only has two modes. Pro performance and quality pro, they are both locked 60fps and I legit can’t tell a difference except the quality mode seems to have judder.

Overall the game has been extremely stable and it feels somewhat modern but also kind of like ps2 era in some ways of story/pacing.

Don’t waste your time on this garbage! I tried it and it’s another Japanese flop!

I appreciate the devs still continuing to improve the game instead of dropping it and forget it ever exiated. It's esepcially surprising since Sony published the game, and we all know the kind of fate a Sony published game will get if it doesn't pull big numbers both critically and financially (*stares at Concord*)

Review: Lost Soul Aside : Almost Found | Seasoned Gaming

Lost Soul Aside is, despite its issues with the voice acting and story, still a fun romp. The engaging combat, impressive set pieces, and quality art style more than compensate for the game’s shortcomings. The developer, Utilizero, has made a decent attempt with it, and with some story refinement, a better translation, and stronger cast of performers, their next game could be truly special.
