Game Science says Sun Wukong's journey will continue, but they prefer to make a new Black Myth game first with new gameplay and story.
Now that they made a lot of money hopefully they can completely finish the last level. Loved the game but you could tell the end level was unfinished hence the name of it.

The pre-load for the upcoming Xbox Series X|S version of Black Myth: Wukong is now live, and the download size has been revealed.
Definitely isn’t meh. It’s a solid 8-9/10 imo. Has fantastic bosses and fun combat. The first and final few chapters have solid pacing. But the middle, specifically chapter 3 drags. It focuses too much on the basic enemies and the fun bosses are few and far between in comparison making it feel like a slog. As a whole a really fun experience and a great way to experience “Journey to the west”.
Those in the Xbox community who whined about the release delay need to put their money where their mouth is - otherwise this will happen more often until eventually some publishers will skip the Xbox platform altogether.

I'm pretty the director confirmed that this wasn't the case. They were having a hard time developing the game for the series s if I recall
Well amazingly it’s been a whole year. That’s uncanny and considering that a majority of games don’t have any problems with the S is telling. Even when they do have a problem it might be a couple of months, not a whole year.
While I don’t have direct proof. Sony paying for a year is totally, strongly plausible. As for what the developer said, I don’t buy it.
But in the scheme of it all, it doesn’t matter anymore.
