Top 3 best Xbox 360 games

These games are said to be the reason why Xbox 360 is doing relatively well in the market. Because of these games, the popularity of the Xbox 360 is reaffirmed as many gamers continue to play their games.

Gen Digi takes a closer look into the 3 best Xbox 360 games that got the console moving and shaking.

Parapraxis6339d ago

Not trying to troll...but only 1 of those games is a console exclusive.
There's more to it.
MS has made the 360 a success by having a very attractive price point and a strong online service. Add to that a great library of games which, while mostly available on the competition is still on the 360 none-the-less, and it's understandable why many consumers pick the 360.

ASSASSYN 36o6339d ago

I really don't see the point why you had to state that only one game was a console exclusive. The point was these were the top games not top exclusive games on the 360.

the1truelegend6339d ago

I definitely agree with what you said. The point though is that these are the games that propelled the Xbox 360 to where it is. Bioshock was exclusive to the 360 at one point, Oblivion was a very important launch title as well. During those times, there was no price cut.

Parapraxis6339d ago

ASSASSYN 36o, I know all 3 of those games were initally exclusives, i'm just pointing out that now the 360 is still selling great.
It's been about price and online for the 360 since the get-go.

That's Microsoft's gaming division for you...kill off developers making new ip while trying to capitalize off some long lost glory that has no hope of ever being what it once was thanks to recent decision making favoring unrealistic profit goals and greed. What a joke.

Reaper22_218d ago

So much bitterness. Why be upset over something like this. Just don't buy it and stick with what you prefer.

Tacoboto218d ago

Complaining about Microsoft is the only thing people comment here for anymore.

This website is practically dead without it

Mmmkay217d ago

I remember when you guys constantly complained about Sony remaking and remastering games. Guess it is cool now. As usual.

thesoftware730217d ago

Give it rest medman..., take a deep breath and try to not sound so invested in something no one is forcing you to read, buy, or play.

"Console war"is over, Sony won, be happy.

medman213d ago (Edited 213d ago )

@thesoftware730
I'm invested in people losing their jobs and their livelihoods while Microsoft execs tout record profits for their gaming division. Not sure why you wouldn't be invested. Could be you one day. Good luck.

Travesty218d ago

So what’s their solution to having multiplayer? Wait until Halo 7?
That was one of the most memorable parts of Halo..

monkey602218d ago

I'm not sure spending the heavy investment in time to recreate the multiplayer here is the answer either though.
Remaking the campaigns is a great idea to bring the new players up to speed. But if the multiplayer is included in each it'll just fracture the player base of each release.
I think it might be better to turn these campaigns out quicker and have 1 multiplayer game to keep everyone in one place

Travesty218d ago

Maybe having an Halo Online and just release the Combat Evolve maps. And when Halo 2 releases have those maps release. I don’t know but I would like to play a newer version of Halo multiplayer. I know times have changed, and Fortnite is all younger kids really play. But back then it was Halo and you connecting 6 Xbox’s together lol.

jjb1981218d ago

I agree. I think that'll segment the playerbase and once 7 comes out, players might realize it sucks and go back to the older games. Especially if 7 is live-servixe, they'll be shooting themselves in the foot on the one good leg they have to stand on.

crazyCoconuts218d ago

Kinda surprised they didn't just port MCC.
Maybe more $ to by made with separate remasters

Inverno218d ago

Wouldn't have that problem if it were MCC being released. Gotta wait for 7 to be disappointed with MP all over again cause if they half baked Infinite what makes people think they won't half bake the next game? MP works in past HALO games not cause of nostalgia but because it's MP that isn't concerned with the endless service approach.

JEECE217d ago

There is so much cognitive dissonance over Infinite. People say they didn't like it because it was a live service. Yet if you look at what the criticisms of it were at the time it came out and when the playerbase started falling off, the primary issue people had was a lack of updates. In other words, it wasn't enough of a live service.

Which is really an encapsulation of the problem with multiplayer today. So many people think that they want to go back to the "good old days" of mid-2000s multiplayer (The first few Halos, Socom, the first few Battlefields, CS 1.6, etc), but in reality if a multiplayer game like that came out today, people would whine about the lack of content within a month of launch and go back to a live service with a grindy progression system.

isarai218d ago

Why not just port the MCC? 🤔 That was the easiest layup ever and you completely missed it

franwex218d ago

30% profit margins! People will pay $70+ for remakes!

Software_Lover218d ago

I thought the same thing, then I realized that they wouldn't include the remakes in that edition. We may get a different version of Halo MCC in the future with all of the remakes included. I just want them to include Halo 5 at some point for PC.

TheColbertinator218d ago

Can they remake Reach too with the multiplayer?

Knightofelemia218d ago

I wonder if Microsoft will port Reach over to Playstation I quite enjoyed that game. I played Halo 3 and it was not bad I have Halo 2 on the OG Xbox I just need some cables to hook up to my tv to play it.

Bioshock is one of my favourites franchises. I love all 3 games and have played each several times. I even have a room in my house that is loosely decorated around the theme of Bioshock (with a Lighthouse, coral models and postcards styled as though they are from both Rapture and Columbus).

And yet I am going to find it extremely difficult to get even remotely excited about any future episode in the series after all the problems this has had in its development cycle.

Leave the franchise alone. Remaster them again if you have to. Then put whatever talent you have to use on something brand new.

Furesis309d ago

Since ken levine isn't involved i'm not surprised what's going on. i'm more excited for his next game which looks like bioshock. Yet he still works under take2 and they are making bioshock 4 without him, strange situation.

toxic-inferno309d ago

Yes. Judas. Looks brilliant, but it's one of those games that seems to never have had a release date. Instead it's had release windows that keep getting pushed back.

Once it's ready, I'll be there for it though. Ken Levine is an excellent developer.

I get the feeling he dissolved Irrational Games simply so that 2k couldn't tell him what to do. It seems it will pay off, but I feel sorry for those who worked as part of Irrational before it was dissolved, who hadn't independently made a name for themselves.

ActualWhiteMan308d ago

He didn’t even want to make 2, that’s why they did it without him.

Rebel_Scum309d ago

tbh it wouldnt be a Bioshock game without development hell. They all had it.

Michiel1989308d ago

bioshock 2 was 2.5 years after 1, so much of a development hell it was......

-Foxtrot309d ago

"Remaster them again if you have to"

Well apparently they were doing a remake but that got cancelled

Relientk77309d ago

It sucks this game is in development hell because I love BioShock and would love a 4th game. I hope it turns out great, but I guess we'll see.

P_Bomb309d ago

Love Bioshock. It’s too bad what’s going on. At least we have Judas.

Yui_Suzumiya308d ago (Edited 308d ago )

It's been in development hell since 2014. This is nothing new. It saddens me because it's one of my favorite series. At this point, Judas may end up releasing first.

BABI-PANGPANG308d ago

Bioshock 4 (if it ever comes out) will probably still look and play like a Bioshock game, but without Kevin, it might miss that spark that made the originals so special. Honestly, Judas might end up feeling more like the real spiritual successor.
