Seems only cyberpunk uses it atm. Odd that the other games don't. Donkey kong can use it as it has some performance issues. Hopefully nintendo works on implementing it in their future games at least.

I've put DK through its paces, aside from a minor hiccup here and there, the game runs quite impressively. I'm not sure who is claiming that that game struggles with any regularity.

As for MK and DK not using DLSS, I'm also wagering that these 2 games started life as Switch 1 titles and thus were built using other tech at the time. I'm not sure how easy it is for them to utilize DLSS instead of FSR for a completed game.

Neonridr@ You got to be joking? Man i just don't understand people like you, either you are in serious denial (more likely) or you're just not sensitive to annoying frame drops and can't notice them in which to that i say i wish i was like you.

DK Banaza has serious framerate issues, up the a** actually, there's frame drops when you use the map, when you use the photo mode, boss fights that drop the framerate to 30 fps, random massive hitches everywhere when you destroy the enviroment and collect gold, weird frame drops in cutscenes all over the game and everytime DK smashes a banana open i mean there are countless issues with the preformance. I watched Maximillan Dood's playthrough of the game and man let me tell you it was sooo rough in point's that Max had to admit it's bad.
I want to get the game eventually but until they at least improve the performance drastically i'm not buying it, i don't want to go back to Switch 1 era.

@Levii_92
With all the praise Maximilian has given for the game, what stands out the most to you are the minor issues he experienced? No matter what you say, no matter how hard you try to bring the game down, you can't change the fact that it's a masterpiece. Maximilian himself said that this game shows Nintendo at its best.

@Levii_92 - I will admit that when you pull up the map there is a noticeable stutter. The map is probably the most guilty culprit of any performance issues, but it's only when you first pull the map up. Go read the DF analysis, who I trust more than some random internet person. They even say that performance drops are minor and isolated.

I destroy the environment all the time, I was just on 2 separate flights for 5 hours each where I was playing the game non-stop. Believe me, I'm not one to not notice things like major framerate issues. Saying the game suffers major issues when incidents happen minutes apart from each other and not with any regularity shows just how overblown people make it out to be.

I love how you say I'm lying or wrong when you yourself don't even own the game and you've "watched" videos online. Give me a break. I've logged 15 hours of gameplay myself, so when you've done that, feel free to come back and give me your opinion on how it handles. You literally sound like someone who went on the internet and compiled a list of each separate complaint and put them together to act like the issues are more severe than they are.

Agreed. I’m around 40 hours into it and rarely see any frame rate issues and agree that they seem to be blown of proportion since DF mentioned it in their analysis. And I’m not some “noob” gamer. I have over 200 physical Switch games and a massive Steam library (been gaming since I was an 80’s kid).

From what I’ve seen on other platforms, FSR 1 has less latency and is a more performant solution latency wise. Visual quality would be higher with DLSS and frame gen but the added latency could really take that responsive feel of DK’s movements down a notch.

Bs Donkey Kong runs great and it’s a blast to play

You’re the one joking. The game is a blast to play and it runs good

"Seems only cyberpunk uses it atm..."

Fast Fusion used it but they later added an option to disable it.
Hogwarts Legacy uses DLSS also.

the only issue with supporting this type of feature is actually using it. There needs to be more emphasis on making this work in order for the platform to get games people didnt think possible.

ocelot07293d ago

Hitman could certain use it as well as VRR in docked mode.
