This mode remains equally difficult, however, and nearly as predictable: The enemy factions tend to follow race-specific behavior patterns, and they still start with huge fleets at their disposal -- whereas the player's limited war chest which is expected to last through five games. The inclusion of multiplayer might provide some smart, adaptable opponents, but sadly, there isn't any".

This PC game is well worth it, drop on over to www.dreamspike.com and have a go at the demo. Have fun, play games.

GameVortex writes: "Aside from a few minor issues, the only major detriment is the difficulty level. Space War Commander may not look the part, but is compelling enough that strategy players should at least hop on over to Dreamspike's website and check out the demo version".

Imagine being in control of a space base and having to defend against an enemy, as well as traders in your rankings. Everything was going well, asteroids were yours other planets were potentially yours and then you discovered someone in your own ranks had hit the self destruct button in your space base. Why your space base has a self destruct button is a different story, but someone has engaged the self destruct button and now your base is going to explode if you don't get to the enemies base and destroy it first in Space War Commander.
