Its opening hours may frustrate you in how risk-averse those initial sections seem, but bearing with Wuchang: Fallen Feathers ultimately reveals a deep experience that proves there’s still room for more soulslikes when the quality is there.
CCG writes - "If you enjoy Souls-Like games, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers will deliver in spades. It has a lot of eye candy and enemy variety. There are different tiers of difficulty when it comes to foes, and then you have environmental challenges on top of that. Be prepared to get knocked off of bridges, ledges, and platforms not big enough for dramatic fight sequences. If you don’t mind dying often, you’ll have a good time. If you don’t like hard games, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers isn’t for you."

Wuchang: Fallen Feathers had a troublesome release on PC. Despite peaking at 131.5K players, the game was plagued by severe optimization issues. Much of the criticism was directed at the poor performance, lowering the reviews to “48% positive.” Following patch 1.5, the game runs much better, but at what cost?
So instead of putting effort into improving performance by optimisation, they decide they can't be bothered to optimise and lower the shadow quality? lol
Thats a bummer that they had to strip things out. The before and after screenshots are surprisingly different with the foliage on screen.
I never had any issues with framerate, just stutters. I doubt this will do jack shit for that.
