Just a short while ago, 2K and Gearbox shared the release date for Borderlands 4 on Nintendo Switch 2. The game launches on October 3, 2025. The wait for Borderlands 4 on Nintendo Switch 2 won’t be terribly long compared to other platforms. The initial launch is happening on September 12, so it’s about a month extra.
There’s been an interesting development with the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Borderlands 4 as the game has now been spotted at retail. You may originally recall that the port was planned for release last October. However, it was delayed just a few days before release. Then in February, we heard that development had been paused.
