Fast Fusion might be the Switch 2’s sleeper hit

Mario Kart World is stealing the spotlight, but Fast Fusion is shaping up to be an essential Switch 2 launch title with a surprisingly low price.

for $15... it is a hell of a deal.

But I thought every game was 80 bazillion dollars!?!!

Literally first thing I did was buy this while I was waiting for my switch to transfer. It deserved to be supported for not nickle and dimeing consumers!

question for you... did you choose to do the system transfer during the setup? I assume so because you typed out the part about waiting for the transfer. I chose not to do the transfer and found that even though this is a SW2 game that i bought through the SW2 shop and downloaded directly... I found I had to still use my SW1 to let me load the VGC on my SW2. This is a stupid move on Nintendo's part and I get using that method for SW1 digital games... but not SW2 digital games. I hope they see the error in this method and lets people be able to buy and play SW2 specific games without having to use their SW1 to allow you access (esp when the game isnt even compatible with SW1).

I used the system transfer. however, it only copied across system settings, saves, and VGC (game icons). Had to literally download every game from scratch from the internet. Which I thought was weird. So I played Fast Fusion while I waited for them to download.

Ahh... well I did some digging and turns out there is an option to set the primary switch without having to do the system transfer. so i will do that later today.

Top 10 Switch 2 Games of 2025

VGChartz's Evan Norris: "With Game of the Year season behind us and with Mario Tennis Fever, the first major Switch 2 exclusive of 2026, bearing down on us, this seems like the final opportunity to celebrate the top Switch 2 games from last year.

The purpose of this article is threefold: to celebrate Switch 2's first year on the market; to act as a buying guide of sorts, not just for Nintendo enthusiasts but also other platform holders, as several of these titles are available on PC and will soon be on PlayStation and Xbox; and, selfishly, to keep current on the Switch 2 library."

Best Indie Game of 2025

VGChartz's Mark Nielsen: "2025 was a big year for highly anticipated indies. The mythical Hollow Knight: Silksong finally released, the anticipated follow-up Hades II left Early Access, and the infinity project Deltarune finally reached the halfway mark. The latter unfortunately has an award allergy and could not be here today (maybe next time), but there were a lot of superb indies to celebrate last year, so let's get right into it."

silksong landing and hades ii leaving early access in the same year still feels unreal. i’m glad vgchartz is giving indies this much spotlight, even if i’d personally keep a corner reserved for deltarune when it finally sticks the landing. weirdly, every time i tried reading these threads my browser kept tossing me sideways to https://chicken-road-in.com... and https://high-flyer-game.com... and https://playluckyjet.net/ which totally killed the vibe. anyway, if i had to pick one “best indie” it’s silksong on pure craft, but hades ii was the game i couldn’t stop playing.

Best Racing Game of 2025

VGChartz's Evan Norris: "Unlike RPG and Action-Adventure, two genres that deliver multiple GotY candidates year after year, Racing is something of a feast or famine situation. Luckily, 2025 was a feast year, due primarily to Nintendo's latest hybrid console. All four games on the shortlist appeared on Switch 2; heck, three of them are exclusives. Shin'en, no stranger to Nintendo hardware, once again punched above its weight class with the slick futuristic racer Fast Fusion. Masahiro Sakurai reconfirmed his auteur status with Kirby Air Riders, an unexpectedly deep and content-rich racer with more than a little fighting game DNA in it. Nintendo EPD made a big splash at the launch of Switch 2 with Mario Kart World, which obliterated the spatial boundaries of the franchise. And Sonic Team raised the stakes with Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, thanks to an inventive travel ring mechanic."
