Not even close. Their entire operation is full of leaks. Sony can't keep anything a secret that's why no one is excited for their event because we already know what to expect.

They deliver single player greatness.

Released games - Miles Morales , Astro's Playroom , Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart , Horizon Forbidden West , Gran Turismo 7 , God of War Ragnarok , Spider-Man 2 , Astro Bot , etc.

And they just recently announced Ghost of Yotei , INTERGALACTIC , and SAROS to go along with Wolverine. All are expected to be great.

Nothing stops this train , not even some risky multiplayer games. PlayStation greatness isn't dependent on them.

Also, Steam are _thieves_ for taking 30%. That's what Nintendo, Sony and Xbox charge developers on their storefronts. They have to develop hardware which is a much bigger risk compared to Valve and except for Nintendo, they make a loss on hardware in the first year. Want to help, buy from Epic Games, they charge developers 15% on their storefront.

What's kind of nuts to me is that UE charges 5% of your sales to use your engine. Hosting a storefront like Steam is nothing like developing an engine like UE and Valve still have the audacity to charge 30%.

Then if you're around long enough, you get fans that live to downvote anything you say. It's so weird.

I´m hyped!

I´m expecting more Intergalactic goodness, Wolverine´s (Official) gameplay reveal and finally, Cory´s new game reveal/announcement! After all it´s being 7 years in development since God of War. I´m expecting a teaser at the very least.

Why not? It´s been three years since the last Playstation Showcase. After the backlash, I don´t think Sony will be hosting another Playstation Showcase anytime soon.

It would be nice to get more Intergalactic but that would just be extra. For sure we should get Ghost, Soros and Wolverine. That alone would be nice. Anything else would be nice. Some third party of course too so I would be surprised to see Battlefield or something from Microsoft like Hellblade 2. And folks keep saying RE9.

Remember to keep excitement at a low. I've been a ps fan since the og ps1 and I must say this gen has been underwhelming from Sony. A few heavy hitters here and there. Nothing like ps2 and ps3 era. We had uncharted 2 for christ sakes. The impact that game had was monumental! It's my favorite of the series. So well paced and action packed with a great story and comedy. I want that feeling back!

Underwhelming amount of 1st party games yes. Other than that this generation has been very overwhelming. Too many games to even play. But they've looked out for their player base with 2nd party and 3rd party titles.

I agree. Two games announcements from the same studio at the same event is highly unlikely.

We know ow of 2 for sure: Ghost and Soros. Those two games are gonna get a lot of fanfare by themselves. I've been a Housemarque fan before Sony bought them.

They'll be showing games from Creators across the globe. So probably several third party games and exclusive Chinese project games. Maybe that one more thing is Sony Santa Monica's New IP from Corey Barlog. I know I've been saying that for several years but it's been 7 years since GoW.

It needs to be good. Switch 2 is totally overshadowing the PS5 at the moment due to the PS5 being so stagnant lately as well which hasn’t helped. I don’t think I’ve powered on my ps5 in probably 3 months. Last game I bought/played was Silent Hill. I still haven’t completed it either.

I think it was the PS5Pro that killed it for me. They've been on a really long spell of making really poor decisions and ideology. The whole thing put a bad taste in my mouth.

Why a premium optional console you have no interest of buying in the first place affects you?
None of that stuff you mentioned affect your will to play games you just making up excuses at this point.
Unless you're on top of every game and finished all the latest you have no shortage of games on PS5 not to mention many people still working on their PS4 backlog.
Switch 2 launch hype are mostly manufactured and controlled FOMO with two launch exclusives that costed $70+ anything else are Switch ports, you only have one exclusive to play with at launch if you're not into kart racing at $80+
I'd be shocked if Switch 2 didn't overshadow PS5 that entering its 5th year.
The honeymoon period is about be kicking in for Switch 2 for those buying it but I won't budge and won't support all their BS decisions.

Sony has been making Same She-it since 2005 Military type Open World or multiplayer games, Open World RPG, Open World Racing games, FPS Open World Shooters.
see where I'm going with this??
Everything is Open World and that is why I said same She-it since 2005 nothing has changed Wash, Rinse and Repeat same Old games.
Slap on a New title but it is the "Same" Old game since 2005/2006 State of Play 2025 will not offer us anything New to Excite us to buy their New titles well at least not me. if it going to be another Wash, Rinse, Repeat game you seen before and played before.
