Blizzard Entertainment is an amazing game company. I don't believe it is too much of a stretch to say that they are one of if not the most popular game developer of all time.
What with, for example, at just before 11AM on a Tuesday there are 35 thousand people playing Diablo II, a game that is nine years old. All told there are something like 185 thousand people online playing games of Starcraft, Diablo 1, and Warcraft on battle.net.
This isn't even counting the millions, yes millions, of people playing World of Warcraft at any given time of the day, totalling 11 million players. Take that at $15 a month each, and you've got yourself a wad of currency.
