VGChartz's Evan Norris: "During my time at PAX East, Sorlie walked me through two titles: the original Bubsy on SNES (his personal favorite) and the now infamous Bubsy 3D, the franchise's first foray into three dimensions. Each game in the anthology will feature the quality-of-life features common to Limited Run's Carbon Engine, including rewind, save states, screen & filter options, and even an optional "boost mode" that overclocks the system slightly to remove slowdown."
The collection of Bubsy games is good for only two things: collecting incredibly bad games, and experiencing a bit of weird gaming history. In our review, we recommend not doing the first part.

WTMG's Leo Faria: "As previously mentioned, I’m glad that Bubsy in: The Purrfect Collection exists, but only as a means to preserve a handful of (in)famous games for posterity, and not because the content included in it is actually worth bothering. Not a single title in this collection is worth your time, not even for an ironic playthrough, but hey, further generations now have access to titles like Bubsy II for the Game Boy and Bubsy 3D. They can be alerted as to what a truly heinous mascot platformer is. If you’re really craving for some retro platforming with a B-tier mascot spouting one-liners at all times (quite a specific craving, but I bet there’s at least three people out there asking for such), just grab the Gex Trilogy collection instead."
An annoying pos who never shuts up? Sounds like bubsy was ahead of his time because that's 90% of games now

Atari has revealed the titles in their new Busby collection.
My one friend and I loved Bubsy 1. We used to compare him to Sonic all the time. So with us and the one person from this article it has at least three fans. 🤣
I was so lucky as a kid my parents convinced me to rent Busby 3d first because I was full steam ahead on buying it with my pocket money based on the advertising alone.
Audi Sorlie from Digital Foundry nice.
I loved Bubsy as did by younger brother and cousins. I'll keep an eye out for this collection.
I never cared for Busby because I felt like the character was a less cool rip off of Sonic. This coming from 90s kid who at the time was proclaiming to all kids who would listen “SNES is better than Genesis.”
I am certain this has nostalgic appeal for many, I just never really got into the character.
