Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra Delayed to "Early 2026"

Skydance Games posted an important update regarding Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra on X stating the game is now targeting an "early 2026" launch.

Lightning77248d ago

Of course we haven't seen or heard anything about the game for awhile now.

Obscure_Observer248d ago

It´s a game from Amy Hennig after all.

I have no doubt it´s gonna be high quality on release.

solideagle247d ago

like Forespoken? she is a writer/producer for this game not a director...

-Foxtrot247d ago

Why do people keep blaming just her for Forspoken? Allison Rymer, Todd Stashwick and Gary Whitta were also in the writing team along with Black Girl Gamers who provided consultation on the characterization of Frey

Far too many cooks in the kitchen.

The marketing on this has to ramp up soon then. Been dead quiet since UEFest 2023?

Never heard of this... Got delayed... Ok, back to clair obscur

Sounds like EA just quiet canceled yet another Any Henning game that looked awesome.

italiangamer70d ago

This is from Skydance, EA has nothing to do with it.

jznrpg70d ago

There was some leaked screenshots that looked good but not enough to fully go off of.

InUrFoxHole70d ago

Omg please don't cancel this game. Im stoked.

RaidenBlack70d ago

Either launch by Oct'26 or after Mar'27 .... nothing in between

Good old vaporware just like the old days

Apparently only the Black Panther game was canceled. Well, that and they shut down the studio.

Report: First Look at Gameplay for Marvel 1943 Rise of Hydra Surfaces

Unearthed footage provides a new look at early gameplay and environments for what's currently one of the most awaited Marvel games.

ravens52119d ago

I hope it sticks to this gameplay. Looks good. Just please be a 3rd person action game. Not a movie game where you just press the inputs and things happen while you just watch.

cloganart119d ago

It looks like they swapped to an "observer" camera to show some of the environment etc. to the dev team. Combat looks a lot like Arkham freeflow jumping from target to target. That's likely not the game cam.

YourMommySpoils119d ago

Early 2026 and this is how far they are up to? Might be 2 years more to go.

TheLigX119d ago

The owners of Skydance (the publisher) are the same people who are building a surveillance state in the US to protect the billionaire class. I'll pass.

Amy Henning.

You don´t need other reasons why

Gamings-Last-Legend480d ago

Exactly. She's easily one of the very best developers ever. This game is in my top 10 most anticipated titles.

While the visuals look stunning, I'm curious about the gameplay. Will it feel more like Hellblade where it feels like mainly
story/cutscene driven? Or more Uncharted/TLOU with simple but solid gameplay mechanics?

I'm pretty sure we are not getting a Dark Souls type here where combat mechanics are king. Seems to be a more story driven game looking at all the focus on characters.
