the bit about the feel of the unit and how it did not feel any different... I cant really use my switch with the original joycons anymore after getting a crkd holder. it adds a better feel and heft to the system and I cant wait to see what crkd will bring to the switch 2. i also use a nyxi gamecube style joycon controller and that made playing metroid prime feel just like i remembered... even better in many ways. When i use the flip grip for tate shmups, that is all i use now is the GC cons and not the regular joycons anymore.

I use the Split Pad Pro for this very reason. The Joycons hurt my hands after a while.

Yeah I think Oliver or Rich touched on that in the video the fact they use third party joycons allows the switch to feel however you want it to while a steam deck can't be customised in that regard it actually goes a long way in personalising the device.

I'm actually pretty excited to be able to buy a nso GameCube pad and hook it up to my emulators/Wii via Bluetooth adaptors I love the NSO pads and use them on the NES, mega drive and N64 thanks to 8bitdo adaptors

I know what you mean, I can't hold the Switch in handheld mode for very long before I get hand cramps, I bought the Hori Split Pads too, I can use the original Joycons fine when detached though, especially with the grips. But handheld mode is always a problem for me, the shape just isn't ergonomic.

After that blatant paid Nintendo Ad drop on their channel, I completely lost any kind of objectivity in any of their Nintendo-related coverages.
Take their Switch 2 coverages from now on with a few grains of salt.
Lots of forced weirdly positive comments on the video as well.
