Then it takes 2 minutes to find a match. And you don't have the choice of choosing whichever weapon fits your style best. You have to kill and do stuff before you get enough money to buy certain weapons.

I agree. I've been playing MGO since the PS2 on and off and the PS2 verion was easily my most played online game for a very long time. The PS3 version just perfected it. The balance is awesome, the modes are awesome, the maps are interesting, most people playing it seem to understand the concept of working as a team.

Konami's only mistake the entire network system, which even Kojima more or less admitted was messed up. It makes playing it a bit annoying, because it requires 2 IDs, updating isn't done via patches from Sony or content on the store, which makes it very, very prone to dying and is often very slow. Basically, if Konami moved it on to PSN, they'd probably get a lot more players and a lot more sales.

Are you talking about the auto matching that no one uses? I takes me a minute tops to find a game. That's selecting a lobby, turning my filter on, then checking the game details, and playing a game that has everything I want: Long TDM, no restrictions of any kind, and DP on.

You can start out with what weapon suits you. (Assault Riffle, Sniper Riffle, Sub Machine gun, Shotgun) Then after you kill some people you use your money to buy a more advanced version.

I start out with the AK & Smoke nades. Then, after I Kill some fools, I buy the MK17 with the stabilizer grip & Red Smoke nades.

i think people found the learning curve a bit frustrating. In my opinion that's what really kept my attention, i hate easy games. The ONLY thing that gets me with MGO is the rampant lag. Even if i get a green ping i still suffer from the occasion warp. Some is do to the animations, like the roll or the grenade. It takes a couple seconds to catch up and thats just enough time to get shot in the head!
