I dont see it being nearly as successful as the SW1. Given the price hikes and a lack of a differentiator big enough to pull the casuals in who are likely to be content with what the original offered, sales will not be as robust after the initial fandom buys. We'll see.

I kinda of wish they do stumble. The balls of this company. Even Sony have never been this arrogant. They honestly think they can make as little effort as possible and we will pay anything. They really need to be humbled and taken down a peg or two. And if they succeed then it's open slather for raising game prices.

The only reason I don't full on want them to fail is because it can't be just PlayStation as the only decent console that would not be good for anyone even though it is by far the best console. There has never been just one player in the market since Atari that I'm aware of. We know how that went.

A $50 - $75 price cut, and $10 - $20 price reduction on games is all it'll take to give them a second wind. The markup on their products are already so high they can comfortably drop it to entice buyers and still make good profit.

I don't think the stakes are higher than any other time. Nintendo puts out cheap products for a lot of money and their products almost never go on sale. Despite all this, they have been number 1 every year. Also, even with tariffs, people will pay more because they are addicted to digital entertainment.
