Out of curiosity what makes you think this will happen because Sony is making money from every game the developed unlike Xbox loosing money with game pass 🤷🏿
Eonjay could be onto something. Helldivers 2 going to Xbox comes to mind. Also, the recent job listing for PlayStation Studios multiplatform director points to more PS games getting published on Xbox and NS2.

I don't think any of us are or will be surprised, fact is every single xbox game will come to playstation. Forza horizon 5 just sold over 2 million copies and that's a old game from MS. That's hundreds of millions extra income. Halo and Starfield will be announced bext IMO. Gears remake is coming to PS5 so why wouldn't future games come out on PS?

if next xbox allows steam access than wouldn't it make more sense for sony to release the games on xbox and get money instead of gamers accessing their library of games from steam or new consumers signing up for steam
I don't think sony will release all their exclusives but i don't think it's that far fetched to assume there will come time within next 5 years where some big time games from playstation will come to xbox

I actually agree with Eonjay. Partly.
If Xbox continues to exist, I think it's likely. I can see it being a way to recoup costs.
But on the other hand, what would be the point? Fewer people are getting Xbox, so it wouldn't make great sense unless it was effortless to port it over and it's a "whatever, here you go" kind of deal.
In terms of strategy, sharing games sounds like a bad idea. Game Pass is not on Playstation and a lot of Xbox gamers don't buy games. Couldn't comment on the proportionality of that, but I'm doubting it's small. PlayStation studios aren't terribly prolific either, so I think that could push people towards Xbox because they can just rent games and buy whatever PlayStation games drop on Xbox (versus buying PlayStation games and Xbox games on PlayStation).
Putting feelings to the side, it can definitely happen, but I don't see how that's helpful.
Looking forward to playing State of Decay 3 on the PS5. Played SoD 2 on the PC and had a blast.
Nah...that's what MS/XB is doing. PS strategy will be different. Most likely PS current live service games & PS library of old & legacy games that don't generate any more profits on PS consoles will more than likely land on Switch & XB consoles as well as PC. Some current PS exclusives may be released on PC day & date or at a much later date which may be 6 months to a year or so, depending on the title.

Here's the difference...Unlike Xbox, PS doesn't have momma Windows aka trillions in the bank and can't pull a retarded maneuver like MS did with xbox because they have to take care of their golden goose (PS) at all costs. If you think Sony will release all of their main 1st party exclusives DAY ONE on any other platform either you're living in la la land or Sony just want to piss their 30 plus yr loyal fans and face doom sooner or later.

What’s the difference between ‘a few’ and ‘full’? I’m sure you know that answer so no need to explain it further. But how many PS games are available to play on XB (or even Nintendo)? There’s a looong way to go before you can begin to consider it ‘full multiplat’.

Xbox was outsold 1:5, so their market size is too small to exclusively support a AAA game investment.
Sony would be throwing away money investing in developing and supporting games for Xbox when the sales just aren’t there. Not worth it at all for them just for a handful of sales.
Also keeping Microsoft afloat is not a worthwhile proposition, If you give Microsoft an inch they will take a mile. It is better they just leave the market before they destroy it.
I just explained to you the difference. Sony newly released single player AAA games such as Ghost Of Yotei won't be released on a XB or Nintendo day or date, but it's a possibility the 5 year old Ghost Of Tsushima can possibly be ported to the XB or a NIntendo console because the game no longer generates a profit on PS consoles & the game is old. MS/XB first party new exclusives such as the new Gears Of War, State Of Decay 3 & other games that were announced as XB exclusives may no longer be XB exclusives because those newly games will also be released on XB consoles, PC as well as the PS5. A big difference.

I don't put a lot of stock in that job listening meaning we will see ghost of yotei and the like on Xbox and switch.
Right now those Devs have not posted any jobs for people with Xbox dev experience
Sony's said many times their multi plat strategy is love service based.
Will that change maybe but I want more than a job posting for a single position
Spending all those billions on acquisitions & low hardware sales these past generations MS/XB basically said....fk exclusives it's time to become mainly a 3rd party publisher to recoup those billions spent & some.

I'll buy 'em and play 'em. Wait a bit for Gears Eday, but I'd most likely day 1 State Of Decay. I like surival games where you need to build a base and survive and get resources etc.
If you were tuning into Xbox Games Showcase 2025 hoping to see Gears of War: E-Day, you may have been left disappointed. Today's show was light on Microsoft's biggest franchises — with nothing from Forza, Halo or the upcoming Fable reboot.

Never been a fan of gears and I honestly tried to get into it but I can see the appeal and how big of a game it is.
Xbox wanted to Premier their OG first party games 25 years of Xbox. Forza 5, Halo, Fable for next year.
New games in 2027 is Blade, Elderscrolls 6, Perfect Dark.

It feels like the showcase was mainly for the Asus Rog Ally X. Sarah Bond mentioned that all the games they previewed in the showcase are playable on the handheld.
They're playable on the handheld because it's a Windows-based system; what the showcase highlighted for every-single-game though was Xbox Play Anywhere.

Honestly, I'd like if People Can Fly helped with the Gears Trilogy Remaster first.
And want something other than Gears from The Coalition. So, if People Can Fly gets more involved in E-Day, Coalition can focus more on something new and original.
