Hallelujah!Once there's official confirmation that the major problems in GeOW2 have been ironed out,I'll buy the game again.

I have both consoles and R2>GoW2

but Huffy said that GoW on PS3 would allow him to do things with the game that he wanted but couldn't do so don't be suprised if GoW3 goes Multi-plat (also third party developers want $$$$!)

game sent to bargain bin week 2 of having it, SP side great MP side a complete joke,how did the reveiwers miss the major flaws in multi play mode,it was a damn shame they messed up the mp side,socom got slaughtered for the same reason,s and they gave this a ten, sp i can agree on just about,but mp was about a 4 at best.epic better get the next one bang on or its a rental.

Obvious evidence that Epic is finally realizing how bad they screwed up this game. Too bad everyone has already traded Gears 2 in for COD:W@W for a sound MP experience.

Better luck next time Epic, maybe you'll consider Beta testing Gears 3.

The fixed most of Cod WAW's glitches. The only one that is left is the bayonet jumping. But why would they want to get rid of that? I do agree that COD WAW is a better game, but that doesn't mean that people aren't enjoying Gears right now. My friends play it alot, and I wish I could join their game sometimes, but I got rid of my copy already. I still own the combustible map pack and the 5 other maps, but something about the game just doesn't appeal to me.

Please Epic make Guardian a separate playlist. It is what I live for.

but which other game had more problems than gears 2? The only one i think comes close is socom, which i also have, but at least the guys who made socom didn't change how people played socom like epic changed the way people played gears. For example, grenades and how you stick them and the smoke grenades, the power of the weapons, etc. Again im not saying gears 2 is a bad game in anyway, its just that the game has some issuse that need to be addressed.

Maybe the story will be a DLC or patched in later.

you can not patch up a weak foundation ut3 engine. the foundation was not improved on since gears1.( very bad clipping,lag,glitching,weapon glitching issue, unbalance MP maps and weapons) this why the gears2 has even more glitches/lag then ever before. it is like saying i will give a whale a "one" tic tac to cover up the bad odor coming from its mouth!! Dl patching will not work in the long run period for gears2. creating DL patches take money / time and epic does not want to spend all of 2009 on fixing this game. enjoy what you can out of this broken game and raise the middle finger on gears3 and do not buy the map packs!!! they should be free because of this broken astray game anyway!!!

the rag doll physics are unpredictable and can sometime leave you on the ground for a full 10 seconds. Also some more weapon tweaks need to be made and just maybe take out frag stick to walls to bring the flow of the game back to what gears 1 was.

I'm still waiting for an achievement patch for the first Gears of War. Beat that game in Hardcore and didn't receive a lot of achievement points.

Good. Wasn't needed at that time. Let the power of the consoles get a few iterations down the line before remakes are done.

1 and 2 for sure 3 was ok Dom's death felt rushed to me. Judgement was meh 4 was ok and 5 I thought was boring.

4 & 5 had some bullshit practice’s for MP characters and skins.
Judgement was very casual.
2 had the best maps and good gameplay if it wasn’t laggy.
3 had okay maps (too open) but the gameplay was the best.
1 was solid all around.

Judgement has the weakest campaign and multiplayer. Gears 5 would probably be ranked lower if it’s multiplayer didn’t mature well. The game improved significantly in terms of progression and content from launch overtime. While, Gears of War 1 was the most influential title of the series it hasn’t aged as well as it successors.
Gears of War 2 is number one for me due to its plot, introduction of horde and personal nostalgia, despite 3 being objectively better, in my opinion.

I Haven’t not played the spin-off titles, as they belong to genres that don’t interest me.

As an aside: I waiting for my EARNABLE or FREE COG still Spartans to be added to Halo Infinite. Spartans Emile and Kait were in Gears 5 mp, so 343i should reciprocate the Coalitions cross-over.

1,2,3,5,4 and Judgement for me. The first game is hard to beat imo.

Based only on the campaign. 2 was almost perfect; 1 (as a start for the franchise) was amazing too. 3 had some issues, but mostly very enjoyable. Judgement tried to move some stuff around but mostly stayed with the same crew and very basic story. 5 and 4 (campaign-vise) were pretty bad, didn't feel like they were important for the Sera as a whole (maybe that's how it felt to me).

Gears of War 1 is one of the coolest games ever made. A really unique blend of shooter and horror. The art direction was stunning, the music was excellent, and the overall atmosphere was really special. It also looked incredible back in 2006.

This series need a god of war style reboot, the cover and shoot mechanic is old news now they gotta do something to mix it up again.

Other wise its lterally 7 games of the same thing with minimal additions to the gameplay

Now that I finally own an XB one day I'll try the Gear games on Gamepass.

The first 3 are the only good ones in my opinion with the original Xbox 360 Gears 1 was the best online. The rest where not good imo.

Gears 1 was the best hands down. Dark and gritty from beginning to end. Gears 2 was an incredible sequel that ranks close to the first imo. Don’t think they will ever recapture the magic of the first two games. The emphasis has shifted and propably won’t go back.

I have all 5 mainline games from sales on the Xbox store... I need to play them one of these days

Gears and Halo 3 made me pick up a 360 immediately after playing at a friend's house. Great times there. Gears was something new and different from everything else

Nah I never laughed so hard in a games death during part two.

Game series is ugly art wise, plays super clunky and is just lame. I hate gears.

I remember booting Gears 1 on day 1 back in 2006 and my girlfriend at the time said “how could games look any better from here.”

Not only was Gears 1 special for its visuals, but the gameplay felt so fresh and innovative. What a time.

360 era gears doesn't miss, amazing games. One era, ain't a big deal, really not missing much with it
