We are pretty late in the generation.... obviously, not everyone whose going to get one has one but the bulk of them sure do.

There's a significant player base who still play GTA online on PS4 and did not move to ps5 because it would have fractured their online communities given the game doesn't support cross gen play.

There's a ton of players out there who play one game and one game only and that's GTA.

A new current gen entry would encourage players to migrate to some extent. But if you look at GTA IV there's still a very active player base on ps3 to this day so not everyone will move but many will.

Revive console sales?
The only console selling less than last gen is Xbox and NO, nothing can save Xbox Console sales, but PS5 will most likely keep on selling mad.

As far as console sales are concerned the PS5 is doing great.

Everyone talking about the PS5. Nah this game will boost Sega Mega Drive 2 and GameCube they’ll be back on the map. You’ll see…. Ehhh not even.

But the PS5 and Switch are outselling their predecessors and the Switch 2 is expected to outsell the Switch...

Of course it will! Like back when Sonic and Mario were bundled with a Genesis and NES, this is what some companies don’t understand, software can move hardware, it just takes amazing software.

Now if the game runs better on Pro, I expect Pro’s to move. If Series S is struggling, I still expect Series S to get an uptick in sales bc it’s the cheapest way to play the game.

PS5 and Series X will be interesting because they should run about the same. How Rockstar has optimized for Pro and S will be interesting.

Devs are releasing their game around this release and not competing with it. Subscribers beware, you gotta buy this game and yes, people will buy a console once they see it in action and the reviews. Next Gen starts when Rockstar drops 6. Period.

Revive who's sales? PS5 is nearly 1:1 launched aligned with the PS4, with the difference being less than 2 million units between both consoles. PlayStation also enjoyed a very lucrative holiday season which not only shifted nearly 10 million units, but 42% of those sales were to users new to the PlayStation ecosystem. While the launch of GTA6 will no doubt propel the PS5 to outpace the PS4 globally, PS5 sales are in no need of a revival. Xbox in the other hand..., I going to have to say no. The console may see a slight uptick, but it will dwarf in comparison to the PS5. Sony has in all likelihood secured the marketing rights for GTA6. I can imagine GTA6 + PS5/Pro bundle that will by and large overshadows the game's release on Xbox consoles.

Can't believe anyone thinks it'll be over 70. They want as many people on it as they can to sell shark cards. The only way that happens is if they have a $100 deluxe edition with 3 days early access. Which would probably be smart for them because it'd fly off the shelves
