NoobFeed editor Turzo writes - Sid Meier's Civilization VII, in its attempt to tone down the repetition and micromanagement, has harmed it more than any good it did. Aside from the main and core issues of lacking depth in its content and having a horrible UI, Civilization VII isn't that bad. If you want a better game, though, stick with Civilization VI or V.

Firaxis' Ed Beach and Dennis Shirk talk major overhauls in "Test of Time" update.

VGChartz: "Game of the Year for the strategy genre has traditionally been a fight between the real-time and turn-based sub-genres for the crown. Not so this year, which was more a battle between strategic city/civilisation-building titles and the blooming card battler genre. Representing the former, we have the latest entries in the stalwart Civilization and Anno series, while the latter is fronted by the sequel to Monster Train, with its twist on the Slay the Spire-style deck building campaign, and by Death Howl, which reinterprets similar influences within a Soulslike universe."

Take-Two writes: "Since launch, we've been working hard to bring you post-launch updates at a faster pace than ever before for a Civ game, keeping your feedback in mind the entire way. Back in June, we highlighted three big themes that arose from that feedback: Age transitions; replayability; and civ identity through the Ages.
We’ve spent a lot of time on these themes over the past few months, in design meetings, creative brainstorms, and many “what if” whiteboard sessions. Some of that work, like Continuity Mode and Age countdowns, has already made it into the game. But we know you’re eager for the bigger picture. We’ll start by digging into more of those long-term plans, and then we’ll talk about what’s coming in our next update, 1.3.0."
Isn't that bad - 3/10 for a slightly awkward user interface. What a joke get out of here with your dumb clickbait.
The game needs some balancing and tweaking but it's perfectly enjoyable, looks good, runs well, has interesting and deep mechanics and is fun. This snobbery is ridiculous.
The game plays much better with a keyboard and mouse,
