TG Writes: The New Year is upon us, and while 2024 was a pretty great year for gaming, 2025 is shaping up to be just as epic.

VGChartz's Mark Nielsen: "If there's one genre you can almost always rely on to put out at least a few solid titles each year it's the RPG genre. Whether it's CRPGs, WRPGs, JRPGs, ARPGs, or MMORPGs, there are a lot of subgenres with rich histories and confusing abbreviations, and each of them brings something worthwhile to the table. This year in particular was a bit of an interesting one since it had no brand new entries in the really long-running, genre-defining series like Final Fantasy or SoulsBorneRing to step in and steal the show. Instead, our shortlist consists mainly of much more unique titles within the genre, but they're certainly no less deserving for that."

Avowed is headed to PS5 this February 17, 2026, as an Anniversary Update that houses new content for free has been announced too.
No physical = no buy... and none of that empty launcher disc nonsense (Doom The Dark Ages)
So is Avowed as big as Halo and Forza? (Agree for this) Or more of the same level as Sea of Thieves? (Disagree for this)

The Outerhaven writes: Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is everything you could wish for from an action RPG, with a heavy focus on systems that lean in a support the way you want to play.
The f’in Lent trophy is lame as hell. I don’t know how many times rabbits run up to my feet and just die ruining the trophy. I had to reload so many times I took a break. I’ll go back to it eventually but they need to fix the suicidal rabbits counting against lent.
