Helldivers 2 Devs "Will Never Put Enemies or Gameplay Behind a Paywall"

Some players are asking Arrowhead to make paid DLC for Helldivers 2 but Pilestedt says they "will never" put DLC "behind a paywall."

What does this even mean? The gas upgrade is behind a pay wall, the crossbow behind a paywall, the fire resistant armor is a warbond.

This is such a dishonest statement.

Idk what you’re crying about. If you like the game and play the game, you’ll get everything at no xtra cost.
I’ve spent money in Helldivers 2 just to support them.

You can earn more than enough super credits to buy each war bond in the month between each free of charge...if you play casual then you do not play enough to unlock everything in the warbond anyway...because you can't actually unlock the stuff in the warbond without playing enough to unlock the warbond..the purchasing shortcut doesn't get you anything by itself.
