Even post-patch the issues remains. Smh.

It'll likely take a few patch runs to completely iron out all the issues. That's the potential problem that arises when games are not developed ground up for a specific system. In fact, even when a game is developed for a specific console(s), we'll usually see at least four or five patches as they try to address all the bugs. That's why I don't buy games when they first release. I'll typically wait months unto the game is patched up and/or on sale.

If I remember right, HFW had like patch 8 or 10 before they fixed the 60fps mode from the original flickery mess to their current solution, which is so great they built on that for PS5 Pro instead of PSSR.

PSSR will naturally get better too. Sony's hearing the feedback like AMD did with FSR. It is a shame though that some games take away those base PS5 modes - let PSSR enhancements be in addition to, not replacements

It's Blooper team. They won't be able to fix it

New tech has trial and error. It's ridiculous for this to be happening on $700 USD hardware, but this feedback is extraordinarily useful for the next go of things. Hopefully much easier for developers with updates.

This will be a very interesting deciding factor for"definitive" versions of next generation games. Inevitably, all of the, um, hardware coming next generation will feature some AI upscaling tech. This feedback puts don't in a good spot, but I'm thinking Nintendo comes from the top rope with DLSS and upscales better than any of the other consoles.

There should not be trial and error when a product is released to the public especially at cost. These devs are supposed to be doing internal testing so when their product is released us consumers get the final version.

The game runs fine on PC and base PS5. Logically, it is something unaccounted for with the Pro and the article makes that pretty clear.

We really should show grace to the devs when working with AI. It's new technology and Bloober Team isn't exactly large.

Yes, this will involve some trial and error. Whether that means Sony improves their tech in PS6 to make it easier so devs can minimize extra work for optimizations, or teams like Bloober learn to work with the tech better. Both really, but the point is to say that there are still some issues not understood for mid gen hardware.

Puty224d ago

I am very happy for Tekken 3

Redgrave224d ago

It's not going to get trophies, is it 😕

It's a really solid addition, but I'd love a platinum for it. Same with Soul Calibur 3 if that's really next month.

Deeeeznuuuts224d ago

Yeah, it's a real shame that some publishers still don't add trophies, I mean, even Disney do and they even update games to add them

VersusDMC224d ago

Some PS2 classics have trophies so hopefully Soul Calibur 3 has it.

And ps1 classics not having trophies is dissapointing but at least they give you the new version for free if you bought the old ps1 classic.
