Sonic X Shadow Generations Review - IGN

Sonic X Shadow Generations reviewed by Jada Griffin on PlayStation 5. Also available on PlayStation 4, Xbox, Switch, and PC. Sonic X Shadow Generations takes an already excellent game and spring jumps it to new heights at a blistering pace by doubling up the campaign length with creative level design, fantastic bosses, plenty of collectibles, and an appreciable graphical upgrade. While the brand-new Shadow content isn't necessarily long on its own, it adds a nice change of pace to the collection of all-time great Sonic stages Generations already contained, and there’s an exciting new story that’s filled in as you explore the overworld for collectibles, activities, and challenges. This bulked-up remaster soars far and above previous enhanced versions we've gotten in the Sonic franchise, and hopefully will be the gold standard Sega holds itself to when it decides to bring back other Sonic games from the past.

I’ll get this for my daughters. My 8 year old is really good at all of the Sonic games including the old ones.

I have beaten this game 2 times already, but I am tempted to give it a 3rd try on current gen consoles. I am still playing through the games I recently bought but I will try to pick this up before the end of the year. I am also happy that the reviewer didn't continue that lie about Sonic not doing 3D platforming right. Sonic has been doing excellent 3D for years now.

Wait! If you bought Yooka-Laylee for $3.99, you can buy the remake for only $20.99 instead of $29.99?

Sonic X Shadow Generations Review - Thumb Culture

"Sonic X Shadow Generations was originally released back in October last year. With the recent Switch 2 release, the game got the update treatment. With that, we were lucky to hear from SEGA, who threw us a review key for the Blue (and black) hedgehog’s latest game. So sit back as we check out just how the latest console’s game plays, as well as give our thoughts on the storyline." Stu @ Thumb Culture
