VGChartz's Thomas Froehlicher: "Phantom Blade Zero was one of the most exciting games I played at TGS 2024 (on par with Persona 5: The Phantom X). Not only does it feature exhilarating battles and awesome gameplay, but it's also very quick and easy to adapt to. It's also appealing in terms of graphics and visual design, though we've yet to discover how it fares in terms of narrative and gameplay freedom. S-Game's title now finds itself a few notches higher on my most anticipated PS5 game list following this demo."

The Outerhaven writes: Phantom Blade Zero showed up at CES 2026 with new playable build. Improved optimization, and combat that feels better than what I've played in prior versions.
"This build felt close to final for a couple of reasons. First, the optimization was excellent. The game was running at a smooth 60 frames per second, and it was doing it on a base PlayStation 5."
At first I though he had mistaken because of the first picture in the article showing a Pro... but if you scroll down you can see that they had a setup for both the base PS5 and a PRO. So, good news then. The game is running on UE5 so it should be a great test for PSSR2.

The Outerhaven writes: As 2026 begins, these are the most anticipated video games on the horizon. From GTA 6 to Wolverine and beyond, here’s what gamers should watch this year.

Richard Bailey Jr. of The Koalition writes: The Game Awards 2025 officially wrapped last night and left us with plenty of exciting reveals and things to think about. While I’m glad to see Clair Obscur’s: Expedition 33 take home 9 awards, I was equally impressed by several new reveals for games launching in 2026. With this in mind, I wanted to highlight a few of those games today and explain why they might be worth keeping an eye on.
Resident Evil Requiem and Dragon Quest VII Reimagined are my 2 most anticipated. Wish Dragon Quest XII was coming out next year for the series' 40th anniversary but that doesn't seem to be happening.
My top 6:
Saros
The Free Shepherd
Coven of the Chicken Foot
RE: Requiem
No Law
Out of Words
Mine are:
Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve
RE Requiem
Tomb Raider 2026
Tomb Raider 2027
Saros
Dragon Quest VII Reimagined
Too many games with little time to play haha.
Looking forward to this.
